Sandeep Marwah On The Jury Of 26th Mons International Film Festival

The renowned Asian Media personality Sandeep Marwah, the President of Marwah Studios has been nominated as member of International Jury representing India in 26th edition of Festival International Du Film D’ Amour.
 
“Its a great honour for me to represent my country in FIFA, a prestigios film festival of the World having its 26th edition at Mons, Belgium” said Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios and World Record Holder of producing largest number of short films.He is the President of Asian Academy of Film and Television, a film school which has churned out 7000 media professional in last 18years hailing from 70 countries .
 
“The festival invites to discover an array of unusual films with committed subjects and heart wrenching stories from 19th to 26th feb. no less than 80 films and 35 short from all over the World will be screened. I am happy we have jury from India too.”said Elio Di Rupo Honorary President of FIFA.
 
The other members of the jury are Thomas Gilou, Chantal Lauby, Melanie Bernier, Sara Martin and Noemie Elbaz from France, Idrissa Ouedraogo from Burkina Faso, Maria Dinulescu from Romania, Rashid Masharwi from Palestine, Renato Berta from Switzerland, Sandra Ceccarelli from Italy and Khaled Abou El Naga from Egypt.

The Last Session Brought Glamour To The 6th Indo US Economic Summit

The last session of two days 6th Indo US Economic Summit being held at hotel Lalit in New Delhi ‘Bollywood To Hollywood’ brought glamour to the whole show when President of Marwah Studios Sandeep Marwah presented key note expressing the interrelation of Hollywood and Bollywood as far as production, joint ventures, distribution, acting, awards, film education, music and other things are concerned. Giving number of examples out of feature films he brought many facts and figures to the table in a full house. The event is organized by the Indo American Chamber Of Commerce.

The panel was consisting of Anand Desai, managing Partner DSK LEGAL, Sandeep Bhargava CEO The Indian Film Company, Rajesh Jain Executive Director, Corporate Finance and Entertainment Division, Siddharth Roy Kapur CEO UTV Motion Pictures and Lalit Bhasin, the summit Chairman and President, Society of Indian Law Firms.

“There is a huge scope of business for two film industries USA and India to explore the market in each other country” said Sandeep Marwah who is also heading Entertainment Committee in IACC .The topics related to piracy, the legality of joint ventures and the usage of latest equipments were discussed by the panel.

Iranian Film Festival At AAFT

International Film And Television Club of Asian Academy of film and Television in association with Iran Cultural Centre, Embassy of Iran inaugurated three days festival of Iranian Films at Marwah Studios, Noida film city. Some of the finest films were selected for this special festival opened by the Director of Cultural Centre of Iran Embassy.

“AAFT is the correct platform to project Iranian Films, not only students of film and TV get the opportunity to see different expression but they do get to know the culture of this beautiful country” said Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios. “We are very happy to associate with AAFT as the enthusiasm in this institute to learn is highest” said Supriya Suri of CINE DARBAR.

 “I an proud of my students at AAFT and ASMS who are so focused as far as film and TV business is concerned, we are now well established in Mumbai-Bollywood as no channel, film and TV office, Production company where are students are not working” said Ashok Tyagi, dean Cinema Asian School of Media Studies.

Ali Dehgahi the director of Iran Cultural Centre said, “We are one of the oldest friends of India, the culture and living habits of both the countries are quite similar, that is the reason Iranians love and enjoy Indian films and I am sure you will also like these films.” Iran produces 130 films approx. every year and they are distributed all over the world.

 Kartina Kaif is popular enough to hold the press and who’s who of Delhi to wait for her entry on the stage when Assocham Entertainment Committee decided to honor her at Hotel Imperial in continuation to her absence at 3rd International Entertainment summit last November in FOCUS.

“A special award has been constituted “Performer of The Year” by Assocham to honour the most beautiful lady of the film industry” said D.S. Rawat, the secretary General of Assocham. “We are proud that Kartina has been rated as the most popular performer and as successful women she is representing now for the cause of upliftment of the women” said Alka Lamba, secretary of All India Congress Committee.

 “Kartina has played her tough innings to reach to this platform, she is well versed with the reality of life” said Swati Piramal, the President of Assocham while handing over the award as Priyanka Vadra could not make it for the show.

“Kartina Kaif is the only artist in the industry who has given continuous hits one after another like Namaste London, Partner, Welcome, Race, Sing Is Kinng, New York, Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani and immerged as icon for the young generation” said Sandeep Marwah president of Marwah Studios and Executive member of Entertainment Committee of Assocham. WECARE Film Festival Will Travel All Over India

 “More than 100 short documentary films received on various issues of disability from all over the World and the preview Committee of We Care Filmfest 2010 finalized 32 short films for screening during the film festival which will be moving to all over India. Each documentary film has a story to tell, tales of dogged human spirit that has trumped against all odds” said Sandeep Marwah president of WECARE FILM FEST 2010 .

 The preview committee had B B Nagpal, a Media and Film Critic, Shankar Choudhary (Sr. Programme Offricer UNESCO), Ms Saoirse, United Nation Volunteer (UNESCO), Sanjeev Upadhya, Media Professional and film maker ,Ms Deepa Jain (Psychologist and film maker), Ms. Gopa Mukherjee (Journalist and Film maker) and Abhinav Bajpai Head IT, AAFT) jury headed by Satish Kapoor Director of the festival.

 “A world that truly embraces diversity is one where the rights, dignity, and well-being of individuals are realized regardless of differences in race, faith, gender – or ability. People living with disabilities often surprise us with their abilities, with what they can do rather than what they cannot, but not many tell their stories. To share a few minutes of their lives 7th We Care Filmfest will be held across the country under the theme Dignity and Justice for All” said Satish Kapoor the founder of the organization Brotherhood.

The festival is organized in association with the National Trust, Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT), United Nations Information Centre (UNIC), and the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) will be travelling to about 12 locations in India, from February to mid-April 2010 including Delhi, NOIDA, Mumbai, Agra, Jaipur, Kolkata etc.
