Award Winning Croatian Director At AAFT

Workshop By Croatian Film Director

A special film and TV workshop has been conducted by the well known Croatian film maker Ljubica Jankovic Lazaric for the students of direction at Asian Academy of Film and Television [AAFT] in Noida Film City. “ I am proud to introduce an award winning film maker who has recently won award for her documentary at International Film Festival Zagreb Dox in Croatia “ said Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios and Director of AAFT. “ She has directed more than 250 documentary films in countries like Germany, Australia, USA, Italy, Albania, Iran, and India.” Marwah informed. I am elevated to be one of the faculty members at AAFT and would love to share my vast experience in documentary film making as a part of my duty” said Ljubica Jankovic Lazaric, the product of University of Zagreb and member of Croatian Film Director’s Guild. “My last film is covering a controversial subject of ‘being Lesbian’. Idea is to project the feelings and status of these people in society.” Ljubica expressed. Later the international film maker Ljubica released the new publication of documentary cell of International Film and Television Research Centre ‘HARYANAVI CINEMA’ an initiative of Sushil Saini, an alumnus of AAFT, dept of Direction. Prof. Gurbir Garewal, Jt. Director AAFT also spoke on the subject. The event was supported by International Film and Television Club and Radio Noida.

Marwah Studios Join Hands With Prayatn

Bhawani educational and children care society’s Prayatn is a social voluntary non-profit making registered organisation established in 1999, which is jointly and enthusiastically working nationwide for the upliftment of the deprived disabled, underprivileged and BPL children / people who are considered as a perpetual curse by their own kith and kin and then by the society.

“The present state of disabled in India is not very pleasing and the future too appears to be absolutely dark and bleak” said Sandeep Marwah president Marwah Studios and now the patron of ‘Prayatn’. “The disabled in the society is not treated as human being. They are considered as a perpetual curse by the community. The existing attitude of masses is increasingly isolating them from the main stream of society, until all concerned awaken and do some-thing to alter the present conditions and earnestly look after the interests of the disabled children” Marwah added while talking to the national press and media students at Asian Academy of Film and Television [AAFT].

“BECCS realized that with little intensive efforts these children and people could be a normal and self reliant citizen of a country in all means (i.e. socially, economically, physically and morally) we took a step in this direction as considering it is our social and moral responsibility to ameliorate the sufferings of the children.” Said Brijesh the president of the society.

Japanese Film Festival At Marwah Studios

 “ It’s not only a film festival but a cultural exchange between two countries, the Japanese films  today are representing my country in this campus of Media Professionals  ” said Teriyuki Hoshini Director, Japan Foundation in India while inaugurating the two days Japanese Film Festival at Marwah Studios organized by Asian School of Media Studies.

 The two days Japanese films Festival will show four films: High and Low- Akira Kurosawa, End of Summer – Yasujiri Ozu, Godzilla- Inshiro Honda and Kill directed by Kinchi Onomoto.  The films represent the culture, tradition and heritage of Japanese cinema presenting the best in domain of film culture. The screening is also accompanied by workshops by Cine darbaar to bring a greater degree of understanding and know how of Japanese cinema. 

 Addressing to the large gathering of film, television and media students Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chairperson of International Film and Television Club, thanked the director of the Japan Foundation for the contribution towards this remarkable culture exchanged and presented him with the life membership of International Film & Television Club of AAFT. 

 Others who spoke on the occasion were Kalyan Sarkar, Gurbir Garewal, R.K.Singh and Harsh vardhan. The festival is dully supported by Radio Noida 107.4 FM, International Film & Television Research Center, International Children’s Film Forum and International Public Broadcasting Forum.

Festival of National Award Winning Films 2008 Begins

“It is very important to bring National Award Winning Films to the public for screening for the better and bigger exposure. This creative content handed over to us by the film makers of this country must be appreciated in large” said S.M.Khan Addl Director General and Director, Directorate of Film Festival of India, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India as the opening remark of 18 days long screening of National Award 2008 Winning films at Sri Fort Auditorium.

“It was my honour to be on the National Jury of Non Feature Film Category. The fact is that all the big makers of the World start their film carrier with short films or Documentaries These films make you realize your caliber, capabilities and capacities” said Sandeep Marwah the president of Marwah Studios and the producer of largest number of short films in the World while inaugurating the festival in a jam packed hall.

The screening started with the short film ‘Three Of Us’ which begged Best Cinematography Award to Shariqua Badar Khan who was also facilitated there followed by the screening of Feature Film ‘Antaheen’ recipient of Best Feature Film National Award 2008. Other who spoke and present on the occasion were jury members Santosh Desai and Sudesh Sayal.

National Workshop On Sustainable Development By Santhigiri Ashram

UCLAN Team At Asian School Of Media Studies

“The training set up is much more impressive and powerful than our expectations” said  Chris Leonard the film maker and professor accompanying a group of 8 film and TV students arrived from University of Central Lancashire, Preston, UK under the Joint Education program between UCLAN and Asian School Of Media Studies.

“It was just few months back we offered our training setup and practical syllabus to the University of Central Lancashire for the students of Journalism,  Film and TV, I am happy that they are here in India on our Invitation” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and renowned media personality of this part of the World. “Not only they are learning but they are enjoying their training program” Chris Leonard added.

University of Central Lancashire is one of the most prestigious education centre of United Kingdom and on other hand Asian School of Media Studies an extension of Asian Academy of Film and Television is in media education for 18 years. They are the promoters and founders of World’s fastest growing Noida Film City. The institution is attracting students from 73 countries of the World. No One Can Inform Better Than Print Media-Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi

“What ever is printed becomes the part of history. The print Media is mother of all mediums.” said Mukhrat Abbas Naqvi, the former Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India and senior Vice President of Bhartiya Janta Party while inaugurating the National seminar on print media at Marwah Studios organized by Asian School of Media Studies in Noida Film City.

“India is the only Country in the World where even after the invasion of other mediums like Radio, Television, Cinema and Internet the number of Newspapers and Magazines have grown along with the huge number of readership” said Sandeep Marwah, president of Marwah Studios-a group of creative enterprises.

Coming on the pros and cons of changing patterns of News paper and specially Page 3 some of the prominent speakers like Om Gupta Dean CMS, Arti Thapa editor Asia Spa, B.V.Rao Editor Government Now, Vinod Agnihotri Political Editor Nai Duniya, Jayita Bandopadhya Editor Life Style Magazine, Rana Sadhiqui from Hindu, Binny Yadav freelancer and Deepti Pant Cinema expert spoke and discussed their points of view.

Present on the occasion the renowned film maker and professor with University of Central Lancashire, associates of ASMS in UK, Chris Leonard also gave his view on the rise and fall of importance of Page 3 in England.

Later the Chief Guest Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi released the new journal ASIAN JOURNAL OF MASS MEDIA prepared by the students of Asian School of Media Studies, Asian Academy of Film And Television, Asian Business School, Asian School of Graphics And Animation. The seminar was attended by many print media journalist and large media students from all over India and Abroad. Prof R.K.Singh Dean ASMS condensed the whole seminar and paid vote of Thanks.
