India And Mauritius Can Develop Relations Through Cinema- Sandeep Marwah

Mauritius received the World’s Leading Island Destination award for the third time and World’s Best Beach at the World Travel Awards in January 2012.

Sandeep Marwah presented the life membership of International Film And Television Club of Asian Academy of Film And Television to Reeva Mootoosamy who invited Marwah to be the state guest of the country.

Brazilian Singer Carlyta Mouhini Visited Marwah Studios

Brazilian Singer at Marwah Studios

Noida: A well-known Brazilian Singer Carlyta Mouhini popular for her hindi feature film numbers visited Marwah Studios and had a wonderful interaction with the students of Asian School of Media Studies.

Carlyta Mouhini is an Indo Latin artist, vocalist and an electrifying performer. Her genre of music is Latin fusion, Bollywood fusion, Blues Rock and folk Dancehall. She has created waves in the industry by singing songs like Le le Mazaa in Wanted, Excuse me Kya Re in Style and her songs in Golmaal.

Known to be feisty and spirited by nature, she has been a Grassroot Grammy award nominee and is the winner of the NBC award for Best singer International 2010 for her rendition on her song le le lele maaza le-WANTED.

Other than being a singer, she is an accomplished flamenco dancer as well and has performed internationally in Amsterdam, Germany, Spain, Middle Eastern countries etc. She also takes immense pleasure in being the Brand Ambassador for the HOPE foundation – India.

Azreen Khan Patron to Indo Fiji Cultural Forum

New Delhi; Sandeep Marwah renowned film personality and Chairperson of Indo Fiji Film And Cultural Forum named H.E. Azreen Shabnam Khan as the first Patron to Indo Fiji Film And Cultural Forum, the newly formed organization on the day of launching.

A certificate of Patron ship was handed over to H.E. Azreen Khan Charge De Affaires of High Commission of Fiji in India in a grand function attended by large number of film, television and media students of Asian School of Media Studies.

“The students and the faculty are more than happy to receive the first patron of IFFCF- Indo Fiji Film And Cultural Forum at Marwah Studios. A special committee will work at ASMS for the promotion of our relations,” said Albeena Abaas Associate Dean School of Mass Communication and Journalism.

Ashok Tyagi Secretary General ICME paid vote of thanks and Sushil Bharti interviewed Azreen Khan for Radio Noida 107.4 FM on Indo Fiji relations.



AAFT Scholarship Announced for Fiji National

Noida: ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry in association with AAFT- Asian Academy of Film And Television announced a scholarship in media for the student from Fiji on the first day of formation of Indo Fiji Film And Cultural Forum at Noida Film City.

“With great pleasure we announce a scholarship for the short-term course in media at AAFT for the deserving student from Fiji. H.E. Azreen Shabnam Khan shall help us in selecting the student from any of the institutions from Fiji,” said Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI.

The scholarship will include the complete fee for a short-term course and also the cost of the boarding and lodging. A student who is keen in learning in India will apply through High Commission of Fiji in India.

“AAFT is indeed an international seat of learning. Students from more than 140 countries of the World have been trained and educated in this world-renowned institute. I am thankful to Sandeep Marwah for declaring scholarship and considering Fiji for this benefit,” said H.E. Azreen Khan Charge de’ Affairs of High Commission of Fiji in India.

Indo Fiji Cultural Forum Inaugurated at Marwah Studios

It is important to develop and promote our relations with Fiji through art and culture said Sandeep Marwah President ICMEI at a well-attended function at Marwah Studios on the launching of Indo Fiji Film And Cultural Forum at film City Noida.

“We are open for many avenues be it art, culture, cinema, business, education, fashion or any other industry. We would like to invite indian film makers to come and shoot films in Fiji. The government is ready to give huge subsidy to film producer. Fiji is also very attractive for those who are looking for tourism,” said H.E. Azreen Khan Charge De Affairs of High Commission of Fiji in India introducing the opportunities in Fiji.

“We are planning for workshops, seminars, interaction programs, a film festival of Fiji films and exhibition of paintings in the next few months. International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry has also planned to handover the scholarship of AAFT to the deserving students from Fiji,” added Ashok Tyagi Secretary General of ICMEI.

New Delhi: “A man who has brought revolution in film, television and media education, founder of Noida Film City, most distinguished person in the field of social activities, five times World Record Holder Sandeep Marwah is recipient of many International awards is here to receive his National Personality Award,” citation was read by Shalini Arora Kochar anchoring the show.

The award was handed over to Sandeep Marwah by Shehnaz Hussain renowned fashion Icon and Somnath Bharti former Minister in Delhi Government at a grand function at New Delhi.

93rd AAFT Festival of Short Digital Films Inaugurated

93rd AAFT Festival of Short Digital Films

Noida: Today we are feeling elevated as we are now marching towards the 100th edition celebration of our festival, only of its kind in the World, very soon. Sandeep Marwah introduced the AAFT Festival of Short Digital Films to the distinguished guests and audience.

“What a grand show and a huge number of 93, AAFT has proved that it is the most exclusive kind of film school in the World. We have very strong ties with India and Sandeep Marwah is representing them very successfully,” said Cultural Council Dr. Wilhelm Zoltonor and Director of Hungarian Information and Cultural Centre, Embassy of Hungary in India at the inauguration of 93rd AAFT Festival of Short Digital Films.

“Our bonds have grown with Indo Afghanistan Cultural forum and especially the film projects it has sponsored for Afghani film directors. I hope to start one short film in India may be projected in the next festival of AAFT. I congratulate AAFT for creating a World Record,” said Zubair Farghand Director Salam Cultural Forum and filmmaker from Afghanistan.

“There are many women issues, which can be projected through short films. Young film makers must take up these issues,” said Dr. Manju Kalra Prakash Assistant Secretary General FICCI.

“Art, culture, historical monuments, and highlighting heritage can also be a very powerful subject for short films. I am amazed to see the kind of work Marwah Studios has done. I congratulate the whole team for organizing 93rd film festival,” added Surbhi Gupta Director Rasika Arts & Design and Co Chairperson of Art & Cultural Committee of PHD Chamber of Commerce.
