9th Kamal Ke Sipahi Awards at Marwah Studios Film City Noida

Noida: International Journalism Centre in association with Newspapers Association of India designed a very powerful 9th annual award for the outstanding journalist under the banner “Kalam Ke Sipahi”. Nearly thirty journalists were selected for this award from all over India who all personally came to Noida Film City to collect it.

“Journalism will kill you, but it will keep you alive while you’re at it. A good newspaper, if I am not wrong, is a nation talking to itself. Journalism can never be silent: That is its greatest virtue and its greatest fault. Today we have heroes of journalism whom we are honouring for their sincere contribution towards good journalism,” said Dr Sandeep Marwah President of International Journalism Centre in a grand function at Marwah Studios.

“An ideal journalist should be observant and possess strong analytical skills to assess a situation if there is something more to it. Whether it is about confirming the credibility of sources or assessing an incident, a journalist should know how to weight a situation critically,” said Tirath Singh Rawat former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand and MP Lok Sabha in the capacity of Chief Guest congratulating all the awardees from different parts of the country and abroad.

“Every day is a good day. There is something to learn, care and celebrate.” “Any day above ground is a good day. Before you complain about anything, be thankful for your life and the things that are still going well,” suggested Sadguru Riteshwar Ji Maharaj and asked to learn as how to control your emotions.

“Though it may be interesting or even entertaining, the foremost value of news is as a utility to empower the informed. The purpose of journalism is thus to provide citizens with the information they need to make the best possible decisions about their lives, their communities, their societies, and their governments,” added Ashish Saraf Honorary Consul of The Commonwealth of Bahamas.

Indo Russia Film and Cultural Forum will Promote Relations Through Cinema

Noida: Indo Russia Film and Cultural Forum based in New Delhi India and International Diplomatic Club of Moscow Russia have joined hands to produce a short film to bring stronger friendship between the two creative industries and people of two countries, informed Dr Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Chair for Indo Russia Film and Cultural Forum while talking to the press at International Headquarters of ICMEI.

“We, at International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry are excited about the new film project where Indian and Russian actors will play the role and it is going to be the joint venture between the two countries. We have already identified the cast and crew and soon going to start the film,” added Dr. Marwah trying to involve the students of Asian Academy of Film and Television along with professionals in the forthcoming film project.

Recently at ICMEI, Indo Russia Film and Cultural Forum has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Smart Civilization Institute to support Russian Creative Bodies in developing relations with Indian arts and crafts organizations.

Noida: A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the two very responsible organizations ICMEI-International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry of India and Smart Civilization Institute of Russia to develop and promote relation between the people of two countries through the soft power.

“We are very keen in promoting relation between India and Russia. An organization under the name and banner of Indo Russia Film and Cultural Forum has already been doing a great job from last few years. My visit to Moscow and St. Petersburg strengthened our relations. We are also part of the BRICS Forum. This MOU will enhance the activities between India and Russia,” said Dr Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI and Chair for Indo Russia Film and Cultural Forum.

“ICMEI is a one stop centre. We are happy that Films, Television, Media, Environment, Skill development, Sports, Fashion & Design, Performing Arts, Education, Hospitality and Tourism & Business can be discussed under one single roof. Powerful Russian Delegation Visited Marwah Studios

Noida: A team of Russians comprising of Educationists, Film Makers, Media Persons, and Social Workers visited Marwah Studios to see for themselves how we are organized at Noida Film City and conducting film, television, media, and education business from the international headquarters of AAFT,” said Dr Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios.

Dr Marwah briefed all the members of this powerful delegation from Russia about the establishment of Noida Film City, Marwah Studios -the first professional studios of North India and AAFT the first private film school of the country and the formation of Indo Russia Film and Cultural Forum.  He offered numerous facilities to the delegates and their organizations under Indo Russia Film and Cultural Forum programs.

Designer Adrienne Yakimov Roberts on the Board of AAFT School of Fashion & Design

Noida: “We are proud to inform that renowned designer Adrienne Yakimov Roberts is now on the board of AAFT School of Fashion and Design. This has added another feather in the cap of our fashion School,” said Dr Sandeep Marwah President of  AAFT.

“I am impressed by the infrastructure and the syllabus of the institution. It is also very rare when fashion school is the part of film school. We must work together to bring best out of the students,” said Adrienne Yakimov Roberts on his visit to Marwah Studios Film City Noida.

British born and educated, Adrien Roberts studied Fashion Design at Central St. Martin’s.  Menswear area of Fashion was always where Adrien wanted to research and experiment and went on to study the subject at Master’s Level at the Royal College of Art in London.

On moving to Italy, Adrien worked for many menswear brands, before setting up a knitwear label under his own name. The Adrien Parry Roberts collections sold in London, New York, Hong Kong and Tokyo in some of the world’s top stores. It was during this time Adrien began to teach fashion design.

Moving back to the UK became involved in fulltime education at UAL, University of the Arts London, and later taking role of Programme Leader – Fashion Design, Enterprise & Innovation at UCA, University of the Creative Arts.

Group Director of Education at Istituto Marangoni in Milan, London & Paris and was responsible for all the validation process with Manchester Metropolitan University and leading the institution through QAA review.

Currently Director of Education at Accademia Costume & Moda in Rome, Italy responsible for internationalisation and programme and academic development. Responsible for ACM courses at partner schools such as School of Fashion Technology, Pune, India.

Renowned Boxing Player Mike O Brien at Marwah Studios

In our language the five S’s of sports training are: stamina, speed, strength, skill, and spirit; but the greatest of these is spirit. We give lots of importance to sports,” said Dr Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios while talking to renowned international boxing player Mike O Brien from Ireland on his visit to Marwah Studios, Film City Noida.

“An athlete cannot run with money in his pockets. He must run with hope in his heart and dreams in his head. Always work hard, never give up, and fight until the end because it’s never really over until the whistle blows,” explained Mike O Brien who was accompanied by Dr Rajeev Kumar and his wife to Marwah Studios.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah informed him about his association with Boxing Federation in India. He also explained about our own annual outdoor sports events like Athleema, Asian Premier League, Marwah Cricket Club,  and other involvement with sports organizations.

Noida: A powerful workshop was conducted by renowned healer Natascha Shah for the students of AAFT School of Animation, AAFT School of Data Science. And AAFT School of Digital Media in the campus to make them better human beings and alert professionals.

AAFT in association with World Peace Development and Research foundation keep on conducting these kinds of workshops with professionals coming in from different parts of the World. It keeps you fit mentally and physically and spiritually high,” said Dr Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios.

Noida: Acting is the most interesting discipline, but its also hard to crack the nut. You need to know the unwritten rules and regulations of acting career to make it big in the industry. Who can be better than our own alumna Deepna Kumar who has worked in the industry for now ten years and can guide better to current students,” said Dr Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios introducing the guest to the students.

“Acting, in Industry, is ruled by the casting directors. It is necessary to be in touch with these Casting Directors who have ready information of the requirements of different production houses in Mumbai and other cities for the trained actors,” said Deepna Kumar former Casting Director at Yash Chopra Film Production House.

Casting directors sometimes do prefer all those actors who have better knowledge of industry and of different disciplines of film making. Keep yourself always alert and active. Keep on involving yourself into different film and television activities to be seen by known producers & directors,” added Deepna also familiar with film production. It was a very interesting interactive session.

Seminar on The Effect of OTT Platform on Reading  Habits at 8th GLFN

Noida: “8 years back we started Global Literary Festival Noida, idea is to motivate people to inculcate the habit of reading in their day to day life. A good reading

leads to good writing and good writing leads to good speaking,” said Sandeep Marwah Chancellor of AAFT University and  President of GLFN during the seminar on the second day of 8th Global Literary Festival Noida 2022.

Initiating the topic, Marwah said, ”From five to fifty five OTT Channels shows the increase in the viewership of new programs and demand for new subjects and ample writing works. Reading has been changed to listening now days,”

Ambassador of Venezuela, H.E Coromoto Godoy Calderon, shared that in her country, youngsters really like to read books and enjoy writing. She said that their President has helped establish public libraries and even giving out books for free to the public to encourage reading and writing. She said that Venezuela supports and encourages people to read, write and be creative. Her Excellency gifted the books she brought from Venezuela to the library of AAFT.

Every medium has its own importance be it a radio, television, cinema or digital. But Books are much more authentic than even google,” said renowned Ad Guru and author  Bharat Dabholkar from Mumbai. Author and Journalist Rajesh Badal said  “The lessons in books as well as the lessons of life both contribute to teaching.” Dr. Lavlin Thadani, a filmmaker and an author elaborated that books lead to enrichment of emotions, sharpening of sensitivity and enhancing the finer feelings of romance. She said selling books can’t be a rat race of money, why can’t it be only love for reading?”.

Former Ambassador of India to Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay, Dr. Amarendra Khatua, shared some key points with the delegates to be successful writers. “Reading books is an intellectual activity and anything in the audio-visual medium, especially films, are seen as a distraction. Books can change your lives and so can the movies, they can inspire and be life changing for a lot of people,” said young author Karmanya Thadani.

A book with the title “Bahke Kadam” written by S.S. Sharma was released by the  dignitaries. A poster highlighting the veteran writer and social reformer Deendayal Upadhyay was released by  the guests to mark respect to the contribution of the legend in the field of writing. Ermia Raescu, an educationist from Romania,  Global Chairman of MSMECCI  Indrajit Ghosh also spoke on the occasion.

Seminar on The Future and Prospects of Digital Reading at 8th GLFN

Noida: The second day of the 8th Global Literary Festival, Noida 2022 began with a seminar on “The Future & Prospects of Digital Reading”. Addressing the gathering, Festival President, Dr. Sandeep Marwah said that the journey of Global Literary Festival Noida has been incredible, bringing so many renowned authors, poets, publishers under one roof to inspire and motivate the budding writers. Sharing the idea behind the festival, he stated that it was initiated with only one objective and that is “Entertainment with Growth.”

Writer Mr. Varun Wadhwa said that one should have a motive behind writing as his aim was to be remembered by the people through his books.  He laid stress on the fact that “nobody else can inspire us but our own self, so it necessary to have faith in your own wings”.

Writer Mr. Nitish Bhushan discussed  different eras of transferring knowledge, “Shruti and Smriti which means listening and remembering, Lekhan & Pathan which means writing reading and discussed evolution of the printing press.

During the session, Author Dr. Shalini Narayanan inspired the audience stating that“writing requires a lot of hard work and commitment. Writing a book must be considered as  contribution to Society.  In this age of digital era,  it has become  important to write short stories as the audience is short of time and always in a hurry to grasp maximum information in minimum time.”

Commander V K Jaitely, Former president of IIT Kharagpur and author of the book “We Can, We Can”, conveyed that both e-books and physical books are a medium of sharing knowledge and views. His endless love for books compelled him to come up with the idea of opening a free library in his society.
