Hindi Patrakarita Day Celebrated at International Journalism Centre

Noida: On the occasion of Hindi Journalism Day, a seminar on the subject of “Journalism of Immortality and Indianness” was jointly organized by International Journalism Centre of  the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industries, RJS Positive Media, and RJS PBH. The event took place on May 30, 2023, at Marwah Studio, Film city Noida. Eminent thinkers, journalists, and media analysts shared their insights on various aspects of Hindi journalism, including travel, professionalism in media, marketism, cultural pollution, language degradation, morality, and the role of media as the fourth pillar of democracy.

The chief guest at the event was Professor Ram Sharan Joshi, the former Vice Chancellor of Makhanlal Chaturvedi University of Journalism and Mass Communication. Shri Gauri Shankar Raina, the former Director of Doordarshan, presided over the seminar. Distinguished participants included journalists Ravi Parashar, Kumar Rakesh, Vasindra Mishra, Rajeev Gautam, Prasar Bharati consultant Mr. Umesh Chaturvedi, retired program executive from All India Radio Mr. Parthasarathi Thapliyal, Professor Vinita Gupta from Agrasen College’s Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, spokesperson of Brahma Kumari Divine University BK Sushant Bhai, and Associate Professor at Indian Institute of Mass Communication Dr. Pawan Kaundal.

The seminar sparked thought-provoking discussions on the development of Hindi journalism and its role in today’s society. Speakers emphasized the ethical challenges faced by media in the pursuit of TRP ratings and called for a balance between freedom of expression and maintaining social norms and morals. They also highlighted the evolution of Hindi journalism during the freedom movement and post-independence era, noting the transition from traditional electronic media to the digital landscape.

President of Marwah Studios Sandeep Marwah, also the Chancellor of AAFT University, provided inspiration for the event, which was held at Filmcity Noida. RJS Uday Kumar Manna, the program coordinator, extended a warm welcome to all the esteemed guests on Hindi Journalism Day. The event also recognized the contributions of journalists and positive media families associated with the positive India-Uday movement, honoring them for their dedication to Hindi journalism.

Distinguished journalists such as Deepika Sharma, Rakesh Chawla, Uma Naz Singh, Prarthana Sharma, Amrita Chaurasia, Vasindra Mishra, Sonika Singh, Ritu Rana, Varun Shyokand, Rajiv Gautam, Ravi Parashar, and several others were felicitated during the ceremony. Certificates and mementos were presented to all the guests as a token of appreciation. The seminar, expertly moderated by RJS National Convenor Uday Manna and RJS Observer Deepchand Mathur, concluded with expressions of gratitude to all the participants. Sandeep Marwah shared the current status of Hindi journalism, highlighting its steady growth rate of 15 percent.

Noida, May 30, 2023 – Dr. Sandeep Marwah, the Chancellor of AAFT University, has been honored by RJS Positive Media on the occasion of Hindi Patrakarita Day. Dr. Marwah’s extensive involvement in Hindi journalism spans over three decades, during which he has trained numerous students and established the AAFT School of Journalism and Mass Communication.

As the President of the International Journalism Centre, Dr. Marwah played a pivotal role in designating 12th February as the International Day of Journalism. Additionally, he spearheaded the inception of the Global Festival of Journalism in Asia, making it the second-largest journalism festival worldwide.

Notably, Dr. Marwah launched three Hindi radio stations, namely Radio Noida, Radio Mumbai, and Radio Raipur. Furthermore, his OTT TV platform, MSTV, predominantly broadcasts Hindi programs, further promoting the language.

Uday Manna from RJS Positive Media highlighted that Dr. Marwah also founded the prestigious Hindi Cinema Samman Samaroh, an annual event held at Vigyan Bhawan, which recognizes members of the Hindi film industry with  National Award for promoting Hindi. The grand function, which took place at Noida Film City, saw the esteemed presence of numerous journalists and media personalities.

The award was presented to Dr. Marwah by Prof. Ram Sharan Joshi, a veteran journalist, former Vice Chancellor, and social activist, along with other esteemed members of the journalism fraternity.

This recognition by RJS Positive Media serves as a testament to Dr. Sandeep Marwah’s outstanding contributions to Hindi journalism, his commitment to fostering young talent, and his significant impact on the industry.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui, renowned for his stellar performances in movies such as Gangs of Wasseypur, The Lunchbox, Raman Raghav 2.0, and Manto, has gained international recognition with eight of his films being screened at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival.

Neha Sharma, an accomplished Indian actress and model, made her mark in the industry with her debut in the Telugu film Chirutha (2007) and subsequently in the Hindi film Crook (2010).

AAFT and SONY Signed MOU to Promote Film Making and Journalism

Noida: New Delhi, India – The Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with SONY, a leading Japanese multinational conglomerate corporation. The agreement is aimed at promoting good cinema and visual media and to enhance the value of cinema through the use of state-of-the-art equipment.

Sandeep Marwah, the President of AAFT, expressed his excitement for the partnership and emphasized the importance of building a strong relationship with Japan. 11th Edition of International Documentary Film Festival Announced

Noida: The 11th edition of the Documentary Film Festival Noida (IDFFN) has announced its last date for accepting film submissions from across the world. The festival, which has become one of the most popular documentary film festivals in India, will accept films in three categories – up to 15 minutes, up to 30 minutes, and up to 60 minutes – until June 30, 2023.

The announcement was made by Festival President Dr. Sandeep Marwah during a board meeting held at the International Headquarters of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) at Noida Film City.

Speaking about the importance of documentaries, Marwah emphasized that they play a crucial role in educating and informing people about various social issues and events happening around the world. He also underlined the need for documentary filmmakers to maintain authenticity and credibility in their work.

The IDFF has been a platform for showcasing some of the most thought-provoking and impactful documentaries from around the world, and this year’s festival promises to continue that tradition. Filmmakers from all over the world are invited to submit their work and be a part of this prestigious event. Sushil Bharti has been nominated as the Festival Director of IDFFN.

Noida: The AAFT School of Journalism recently organized a session for influencers to enlighten them about their jobs and the impact they have on society. The event was inaugurated by distinguished personalities, including the Ambassador of Azerbaijan H.E. Ashraf Shikaliyev, Trade Counsellor of Embassy of Vietnam Trung Thuong , and  Art Promoter Eom Nam Suk from Korea.

The session was aimed at providing influencers with a deeper understanding of their roles and responsibilities in shaping public opinion and driving social change. Sandeep Marwah, the founder of AAFT, initiated the talks and spoke at length about the power of the media and its impact on society.

The distinguished guests from Azerbaijan, Vietnam, and Korea shared their experiences and insights on the role of media in their respective countries and the challenges they face. Speakers like Content Creator Jai Singh, Raghav Sharma, Travel Influencer Anas Khan, Fashion Influencer Nikita Wadhawan and Culture Revivalist Abu Sufiyan  emphasized the importance of responsible journalism and ethical practices in the media industry.

The AAFT School of Journalism plans to organize similar events in the future to promote responsible journalism and empower media professionals. Indo South Korea Film and Cultural Forum of ICMEI Moves Forward

New Delhi : The Indo Korea Film and Cultural Forum (ISKFCF) and the Global Diplomats Forum of South Korea (GDFSK) have joined hands to develop and promote relations between the people of India and South Korea. Noida: The Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with  Fintech & Blockchain Association CIC Cambridge, Ma, USA.,  an organization that promotes new media, including Blockchain, Metaverse Artificial Intelligence. The MOU was signed to enhance the academic and technical capabilities of AAFT’s faculty and students in the field of new media.

As part of the agreement, AAFT and IAFCF will collaborate on research and development initiatives, exchange faculty members and students, and organize training programs and workshops on metaverse artificial intelligence and other new media technologies. This partnership will enable AAFT students to gain exposure to the latest developments in new media, preparing them for successful careers in the industry.

“The MOU is expected to open up new opportunities for AAFT’s faculty and students in the growing field of new media and provide them with access to cutting-edge technologies and resources.,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of AAFT.
