Global Festival of Journalism Concluded with Fashion Show

Noida: GFJN-Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2023, organized by the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), concluded with a spectacular fashion show. The festival was held under the leadership of Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Festival President, President of ICMEI, and Chancellor of AAFT University of Media and Arts.

The festival was graced by the presence of several distinguished guests, including Thabang Linus Kholumo, Charge d’ Affaires, High Commission of Lesotho, Neeraj A Sharma Hon. Consul General of Palau to India, Yiannakis Makrides Deputy Head of the Mission, High Commission of Cyprus, and renowned writer and poetess Urvashi Agrawal ‘Urvi,’ The event also saw the presentation of the Award of Distinction to the Cyprus film “Olgas Garden.”

The fashion show was a highlight of the festival and showcased the latest trends and designs from some of the most prominent student fashion designers of AAFT. The guests were also presented with a Festival Memento as a token of appreciation for their participation.

In her vote of thanks, Prof. Ritu Lal, Director, AAFT School of Fashion Design, expressed her gratitude to all the guests for their valuable contributions to the festival. She also thanked Dr. Sandeep Marwah for his leadership and vision in making the festival a grand success.

The Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2023 was a celebration of the best in the media and entertainment industry and provided a platform for professionals to showcase their talent and exchange ideas. Noida: Fashion students from AAFT School of Fashion and Design held an exhibition of their innovative garment designs at the AAFT Gallery, attracting fashion enthusiasts, industry professionals, and the media alike. The exhibition showcased a range of garments designed by the students, from avant-garde couture pieces to wearable everyday outfits.

The garments exhibition showcasing historical cities and personalities is a wonderful opportunity to delve into the rich cultural heritage of the past. Noida: “Fashion is part of the daily air and it changes all the time, with all the events. You can even see the approaching of a revolution in clothes. You can see and feel everything in clothes. What you wear is how you present yourself to the world, especially today, when human contacts are so quick. Fashion is instant language,” said Sandeep Marwah President of AAFT School of Fashion and Design in the master class introducing the renowned fashion designer Ashish Soni at Marwah Studios, Noida Film City.

“Rome was not built in a day. Every garment represents you. Every show adds on to your goodwill and popularity. Nothing comes without passion. You have to be honest to your profession,” said Ashish Soni explaining his journey to success. The numerous exposures to the various international forums have refined his artistic skills. He was the first Indian designer to be invited at the Olympus Fashion Week, held in New York.

Ashish Soni has attained remarkable success in the global fashion world. Creativity of a designer and traits of an entrepreneur have been beautifully gelled together, which makes him a big name in the industry.

His innovativeness has a strong Indian bond that has been well merged with the western education, to give a perfect balance of Indian and western style creations. Ashish Soni’s instinctive and inventive style of creating garments makes them an elegant piece of attire.

8th Global Literary Festival Presented Fashion Show

Fashion Show During 8th Global Literary Festival Noida 2022 at Marwah Studios

Noida: The second day of the 8th Global Literary Festival Noida concluded with a beautiful fashion show put up by the students of the School of Fashion and Design. The show began with a motivational speech by Festival Director Dr. Sandeep Marwah who encouraged the students and congratulated them for carrying out the second day so well.

On this occasion, Actress  Raviraa Bhardwaj appreciated the festival by calling it one of the biggest space in India to showcase the art and creativity, followed by HE Dr Roger Gopaul , High Commissioner, Ambassador of Republic of Trinidad and Tobago who narrated his journey of coming to India and the strong bond shared between the two nations.

During the show, National President of Public Relation Society of India, Dr. Ajit Pathak dedicated a beautiful poem to Fashion and Literature together. Then, President of Dancing Rabbit from Germany Mark Fazzy expressed his gratitude and congratulated the students for a wonderful show. Gurbani Bhatia, a musician who shared her past experience of performing on the stage of Marwah Studios. The event was attended by  actor & model Richa Kapoor,

Vice Chancellor of Noida International University Prof Dr. Uma Bhardwaj,  Jimmy from Embassy of Turkey,  Pasch from United Kingdom also spoke on the occasion. During the event, a book on fashion titled “Hook” was launched. The spectacle of fashion was on full display during the Fashion Show. The first set of walk with the theme “Unity in Diversity” showcased the mix Indian culture wedding attires. Second set was based on “Western” theme which mainly included the wedding gowns. The designers of the first two sets were – Saba, Jasmeher, Shelly Agarwal, Rupin Jha, Priyanshu Tyagi and Gunjan Mishra. The third set was based on the “Casual Hip Hop Streetwear” which included the handsome hunks in streetwear. The last set presented the beautiful relation of Lord Krishna and Radha which included traditional Indian wear and showcased simplicity, elegance, purity and innocence. The designers for the last two sets were – Priyanshu Tyagi, Ishita Jain, Junaid, Paridhi, Pavnish and Ayush Gupta.

On this occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah presented the mementos to the esteemed guests and thanked them for joining in for the event. The show was anchored by Mr. Syed Ashar and Ms. Paridhi. It was concluded with Vote of Thanks by Director of School of Fashion Design Prof. Ritu Lal. The show was supported by ICMEI-International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry, AUA-Asian Unity Alliance, PYC-Prithvi Yoga Centre, and AAA-Asian Academy of Arts.

Designer Adrienne Yakimov Roberts on the Board of AAFT School of Fashion & Design

Noida: “We are proud to inform that renowned designer Adrienne Yakimov Roberts is now on the board of AAFT School of Fashion and Design. This has added another feather in the cap of our fashion School,” said Dr Sandeep Marwah President of  AAFT.

“I am impressed by the infrastructure and the syllabus of the institution. It is also very rare when fashion school is the part of film school. We must work together to bring best out of the students,” said Adrienne Yakimov Roberts on his visit to Marwah Studios Film City Noida.

British born and educated, Adrien Roberts studied Fashion Design at Central St. Martin’s.  Menswear area of Fashion was always where Adrien wanted to research and experiment and went on to study the subject at Master’s Level at the Royal College of Art in London.

On moving to Italy, Adrien worked for many menswear brands, before setting up a knitwear label under his own name. The Adrien Parry Roberts collections sold in London, New York, Hong Kong and Tokyo in some of the world’s top stores. It was during this time Adrien began to teach fashion design.

Moving back to the UK became involved in fulltime education at UAL, University of the Arts London, and later taking role of Programme Leader – Fashion Design, Enterprise & Innovation at UCA, University of the Creative Arts.

Group Director of Education at Istituto Marangoni in Milan, London & Paris and was responsible for all the validation process with Manchester Metropolitan University and leading the institution through QAA review.

Currently Director of Education at Accademia Costume & Moda in Rome, Italy responsible for internationalisation and programme and academic development. Responsible for ACM courses at partner schools such as School of Fashion Technology, Pune, India.

Pride of India Award for AAFT on 15th August

AAFT Presented With Pride of India Award

New Delhi: Special National level awards were constituted by Educacio World under the leadership of Farheen Khan and some of the prominent educationists of the country to be presented on the celebration of 75th Independence Day on 15th August 2022.

“The First Pride of India Award 2022 goes to Dr Sandeep Marwah Chancellor AAFT University of Media and Arts and Chair for Asian Education Group for maintain the best level of education from last 29 years from the date of inception of AAFT in 1993. The boutique institute has expanded its boundaries to many fields and has been able to establish University. Twenty thousand students of the group are working in their chosen fields. The institution has given largest number of celebrities to the Nation,” said Farheen Khan while reading the Citation.

The award was presented online. Large number of educationists were present online for the award function. Dr Sandeep Marwah was also chief guest of the program who later presented awards to educationists from all over India.

“I am pleased and thankful to Educacio and Farheen Khan for nominating me and my institution for this award. Every award motivates you to do more work towards fulfilment of your objectives,” thanked Dr Marwah.

New Delhi: The President of AAFT School of Fashion and Design Dr. Sandeep Marwah, a fashion conscious himself, inaugurated the new collection of Blackberry showroom of Men’s Wear at Connaught Place New Delhi.

“Speaking on the occasion Dr. Marwah said that only those designers can do well who have creative and artistic skills, an understanding of different fabrics and clothes making and deep interest in fashion and fashion trends,” he was inaugurating the showroom in the presence of large number of designers and fashion lovers.

The fashion designer is the key person responsible for bringing stylish clothing. Although the style is based on region, culture, religion, and individual choices. But there are many things, a fashion designer can offer by using their creative mind To become a successful fashion designer, you will be required special qualifications.,” added Sandeep Marwah congratulating Abhishek Tiwari for the new venture.

Second day of 6th Global Fashion Week was Equally Appreciated

6th Global Fashion and Design Week Noida 2022 Second Day Action

Noida: The talent at AAFT is unending. We have creative a dynamic team of designers. They may be new but they are very talented. The range of garments is huge and every show adds new strength to AAFT School of Fashion and design,” said Sandeep Marwah in the opening session.

 A coffee Table book designed by Mansi Jain was launched by the dignities after lighting the ceremonial lamp of   the second day of 6th Global Fashion and Design Week 2022 at Marwah Studios, Film City Noida.

Every time I come and find new energy in this campus. The status of Global Fashion Week is growing year by year. I am happy that Azerbaijan is again part of    this great international event,” said H E Ashraf Shikhaliyev Ambassador of Azerbaijan in the capacity of Chief Guest.

Anand Sahu BJP Leader,  Dr. Nancy Juneja Founder MentorX,  Jagruti Mehta Sanghvi Fashion Exporter, Gaurav Gupta, Founder Global Trade & Technology Council of India, Dr. Sangeeta Founder, Urban Interiors also spoke on the occasion and were honoured for their  contribution to  the society. Sanjay Mittal, Ambassador K V Rajan, Anoop Bose, Harpreet Kaur, Kapil Khandelwai, Rekha Nagpal also attended the show.

The excellent display of    garments involved young and talented designers like Kamya who showcased her range influenced by the culture of Azerbaijan. Shweta Ranjan also touched this beautiful country of Azerbaijan, Ayushman Chauhan was the third designer who opted  Azerbaijan. Anjali Singh & Anshu expressed by joining the country of  Bahamas, Anjali Kumari & Nirmala showcased their   range touching the culture of  Bosnia and Herzegovina, Deepa Pal & Prachi Dubey projected their work of art where garments were influenced by the culture of Czech Republic. Sanskriti Shrivastava moved with Iceland and MD Shanu & Saumya Mishra so well prepared the show  taking Egypt as their inspiration country. Kushagra Jain displayed the range from Gabon, Mannat projected Venezuela in the most fashionable manner, Avni & Ayana emphasised their fashion garments representing India, Muskan Garg & Anchal Dwivedi covered China, Bhawna Verma touched Armenia, Nikita Aggarwal & Tanya Sharma presented Bulgarian culture through garments, Rakhi Das preferred Wales, Laxmi & Vineeta had a wonderful show of South Africa.

6th Global Fashion & Design Week Projected Countries in A Row

6th Global Fashion and Design Week Noida 2022 at Marwah Studios

Noida: After the grand opening in the Morning 6th Global Fashion and Design Week Noida 2022 continued with projection of fashion garments influenced by the culture of different countries on the prestigious ramp of the festival in the presence of whos who of Delhi and National Capital Region.

“Fashion is the part of the daily air and it changes all the time, with all events. You can even see the approaching of a revolution in clothes. You can see and feel everything in clothes. Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street. Fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening,” said Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI & AAFT School of Fashion And Design.

:What a pleasure to see the fashion garments influenced by the culture of my country Sudan. I will definitely talk about this show to many,” said Obay Kunna, Culture Secretary, Embassy of Sudan. “I am amazed by the preparation done for this fashion show and the fashion week, which is no less than the international show anywhere in the World,” said Prasoon Dewan CEO, Divish Aurum Private Limited.

“Over the years I have learned that what is important in a dress is the woman who is wearing it, how you carry garments does Matter,” said Anoop Bose Supreme Court lawyer and a film maker. “Fashion is not necessarily about labels. It’s not about brands. It’s about something else that comes from within you,” added Sumita Das, Founder President, Life of Vision Foundation.

“Style is something each of us already has, all we need is to find it,” expressed Means Malhotra Managing Director Grand Affairs Hospitality Pvt Ltd. “Elegance is not standing out, but being remembered,” added Ankit Nagpal, Director -Bang on Target PR & Media Solutions.

Simran Kamboj exhibits the garments influenced by the culture of  Panama, Yashaswani Mal  from Slovenia, Priya & Renu opted Chile, Priyanka Saini expressed her art for Sudan, Isha covered Brazil, Parikriti Dhilaniya preferred Georgia, Mridula designed for Bahamas, Anjali displayed garments from Slovak and  Neha Singh covered for Lebanon during the second major show.
