The eagerness and anxiousness have grown in all these four months of lockdowns and social distancing as to what new we can present from AAFT to the world of education. We have upgraded our self in these few days of pain and now ready to face the new challenge and any other unforeseen circumstances,” said Prof. Dr. Sandeep Marwah Founder Director and Chancellor of AAFT University addressing the group of journalists at New Delhi.


“Our journey from a boutique institute to a full-fledged university is   a case study in the media and entertainment industry and education industry all over the World. Seven world records, enormous international and national awards, incomparable accolades speak the positioning of AAFT on the world map,” added Dr. Marwah emotionally.


“Blessings and appreciations of Presidents, Prime Ministers, Governors, Ministers and top-notch artists and professionals from all strata of life from various countries have given us enough strength to survive from all sort of good and bad jumps of these 27 years of our existence,” expressed Dr. Marwah.


“AAFT is committed to best of the education in every field possible in time to come. A family of 20,000 people directly associated with the group is our strength, power and muscle. India is proud to have an institution of that standard which can attract students from 145 countries of the World,” said Dr. Marwah with great hope and confidence.


“I am indebted to each and every one who has supported me, helped me, blessed me, I have no word to thank enough to our associates, our partners in progress, our management, our faculty and my dearest students who all have believed in us and gave us the opportunity to serve them and in return serve the nation. Let us celebrate this time digitally and be ready for the new batches to be started next month,” said Marwah very humbly.

A Film Workshop By Peter Ferris at AAFT University

New Delhi: An interesting Workshop on new techniques of film making, using mobile phones, laptops and web applications brought by Peter Ferris in his condensed workshop was organized by AAFT University for the students of cinema.

Peter Ferris has been at the forefront of revolutionizing the Film, TV and Music Industry for 30 years. His production company screens and represents actors, runs film making master classes and works with some of the world’s premiere film festivals. He is an award winning film producer and his productions appear at many leading industry film events worldwide each year. Peter has helped launch the professional careers of many well-known actors, actresses and performers and continues to provide screen-acting classes across the UK each month.

“I met Peter last year at Cannes International Film Festival 2019 France, where we were together as part of the jury for first ever Mobile Film Festival at Cannes. We were also part of the award function, where we were honored with the life time achievement award for contribution to Media,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of AAFT University.

It is Peter’s recent work to develop smartphone movie making applications that positions him as an technology innovator and entrepreneur who is facilitating new ways in his industry.

“Once recorded it becomes history. I believe that film making should be part of our life and that is why I am promoting easy way of making films. I am happy that Dr. Marwah also believes in the same theory and he is also in film education,” said Peter Ferris. Later the session was followed by question answers.

Bangalore: Hailing from the picturesque God’s own country Eden kuriaokosse is a perfect amalgamation of beauty with brains. This diva was introduced to the industry with K.M. Saravanan’s romantic comedy “iruku Anna illai”.She is widely recognized as an artist who can pull off multiple characters and has been a part of several leading films since then.

After completion of her education in MBA in media management and marketing from ABS- Asian Business School & AAFT- Asian Academy of Film And Television, Noida she moved to Chennai to pursue her dreams. Eden has participated in various pageants like Miss cotton city, Sunsilk Miss Kerala and also a finalist for the Sunsilk Miss South India. Having been an acclaimed model even before her acting career she is the face of a lot leading brands..

She has acted in a number of movies across languages in South India. She is seen in more female oriented roles in Tamil and Malayalam and well received by the audience. Her strong connect with theatre art helps her perceive and bring out bold as well as loving characterization with ease.

She is now busy with Maythirrai, a Web Series for Ekta kapoor Productions and  Kuruthi kalam feature film. “I am thankful to my institution for guiding me to the correct path that I could achieve something in life of my own choice,” said Eden.

New Delhi; Renowned media person Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios has been nominated as the Chairperson of Media And Entertainment Service Sectional Committee of Bureau of Indian Standard, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food And Public Distribution, Government of India by official government order.

Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), the National Standards Body has been successfully promoting and nurturing standards movement within the country since 1947. BIS came into existence on 01 April 1987 through an Act of Parliament dated 26 November 1986.

It took over the staff, assets, liabilities and functions of the erstwhile Indian Standards Institution (ISI) with an enlarged scope and enhanced powers for harmonious development of activities of standardization, marking and quality certification of goods and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. Keeping in view, the interest of consumers as well as the industry,

“The best part is that this new change has very well accepted by the students by all age groups and of all disciplines. There may be few weaknesses in the system but I am sure with little time we will over come all these problems being faced by the students as well as the authorities,” added Dr. Marwah.

“There is no package granted to educational institutions by the Government in this Covid 19 era and the fact is that we all have established with great efforts and there is a story of real struggle behind every institution. Sandeep Marwah Nominated First Chancellor From Media Industry

New Delhi: Dr. Sandeep Marwah is the first Indian from the most glamorous Media And Entertainment Industry to reach to the highest designation in education of being Chancellor of the University disclosed during his interview with Author Sherry.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah is the founder of Noida Film City, founder of first professional film studio of North India- Marwah Studios, he is the founder Director of first private film school of the country- Asian Academy of Film And Television and now first person from media and Entertainment Industry to be nominated by the Government to the post of the Chancellor of AAFT University of Media And Arts.

“I have been in education since 1993. We started as a boutique institution and in 2003 added the first film degree college to our education group. In 2004 I was nominated as the first Vice Chancellor from Media And Entertainment Industry for University of Media And Arts. Now I have been designated as First Chancellor of AAFT University of Media And Arts,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios.

New Delhi: More than 400 architects and designers from all over India and abroad participated in a webinar organized by Surfaces Reporter a well known magazine to discuss workspaces in Post Lockdown World.

“There is going to be a tremendous change in the whole architecture of offices and houses, shops and malls as Covid 19 is now going to stay for some more time. You need to have space for social distancing and probably all large gathering will now shift to webinars and other applications on computers,” said r, Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and founder of Noida Film city as a special invitees in the national conference of Architects.

Sandeep Marwah explained about the film studios, cinema theatres, filmy offices, auditoriums for events, open theatres etc. might need change after lockdown is over.

Bharatiya Chitra Sadhana encourages films that promote progressiveness of Indian society with timeless philosophy, Bhartiya values & modern evolvements. To facilitate & promote such films and film-makers, since 2016 it is organizing Chitra Bharati Film Festival at different cities of India.

This time the subjects were related to Covid 19. Large numbers of films have been received, the winning films will be projected in a separate function.

“I had the pleasure to see all the films which were received by the festival in three different categories. The results are ready to announce. I must appreciate the involvement of so many young film makers in this subject,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah.

Webinar by ICMEI on M & E Industry Back On Its Feet

New Delhi: A webinar was organized by International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry to discuss the effects of lockdown and planning to open the different segments of industry in next few days.

“Media and Entertainment Industry is the sixth biggest industry in the country with almost turn over of Rs 2,35,000 crores. Around 10 million workers are working in this industry. M& E also supports another ten million people of associated industry like hospitality, Tourism, travel, transport, engineering, fashion & design etc. ,” initiated Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI at a webinar with the topic ‘M&E Industry Back on Its Feet’.

“M&E includes Print, Radio, Television, Cinema, New Media, Events, Music and Theme Parks. The worst effected is the cinema when 10,000 theatres are closed and 1.5 crore customers are feeling let down every day. The industry has   occurred a loss of Rs 6000 crores in these 60 days,” added Dr. Marwah.

“I extend my heartiest thanks to few very nice people of the industry who all have gone out of way to support lakhs of daily wages workers of the industry. The migration of these workers means much delay in opening the gates of cinema. The industry cannot function without their support,” said B.N. Tewari President FWICE- Federation of Western India Cine Employees.

“We are thankful to all the media persons who all have been working in the most risky environment and working for television and new media and making M&E industry move further,” We are anxiously waiting for the decision to get into the job but ample precautions now have to be taken at the time of shooting. New changes have to be brought down right from writing to production,”said Virendra Saxena renowned theatre, film and TV artist.,”

Indian film industry also has to live with Carona and it has to start with new norms. We, as an industry, have been supporting Government in every issue, Now Government should take care of needy today. We are sure we all will be out of it very soon,” said Gajendra Chauhan renowned actor and former Chairperson FTII Pune.

Ashok Tyagi paid vote of thanks and requested all to be on their toes to start the shootings and completion of last films. Only enthusiasm is the key to success. The session was followed by question answers.
