Today every country is talking about Film and Cultural Tourism and to honor my own term we have been able to attract approximately three million people to Noida Film City. We are also associated with seven thousand five hundred cultural events at Marwah Studios,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Chancellor of AAFT University of Media and Arts while talking to the press at ITC Maurya during Iconic Awards 2023 designed by Jyoti Mayal of Redhat Communications.

The award was presented to Sandeep Marwah by Vinod Kumar Duggal former Governor of Manipur & Mizoram and Arvind Singh Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India in the presence of large audience representing Tourism, Travel & Hospitality Industry and people from different strata of life.

“The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Adventures are the best way to learn. The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page,” expressed Jyoti Mayal while introducing the awards. “This is an annual feature of Redhat Communications, and we select people from travel, tourism, and Hospitality Industry for this prestigious Iconic Awards for their extra ordinary contribution to nation building,”. She added.

Earlier a panel discussion on tourism took place and some prominent people like  Deepa Gopalan Wadhwa former Indian Ambassador to Japan, Nakul Anand Executive Director ITC Limited, Rupinder Brar Principal Commissioner of     Income Tax Mumbai, Mohammad Sarhan Vice President Emirates, H.E. Doha: Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chancellor AAFT University of Media and Arts recently visited Doha, Qatar to study the tourism of the country especially after the completion of grand show of FIFA.

With one of the world’s lowest crime rates, Qatar is a refreshingly safe corner of the Middle East to navigate as tourist, including solo female travellers. With security cameras covering just about every inch of the country, even petty theft is rare.

Diversified tourism offerings across 6 areas: coastal and desert tourism, cultural tourism, business events, sports tourism, urban and family entertainment, and cruise tourism.

The top places include Souq Waqif, National Museum of Qatar, Katara Cultural Village, Museum of Islamic Art, Qatar National Library, Doha Corniche, City Center Mall, Place Vendome Mall , Oxygen Park and hundreds of other venues.

“I am pleased and impressed by the hospitality by the people of Qatar during my visit to Doha. My five days trip has taught me a lot. The beautiful constructions of most of the magnificent buildings is also an attraction after FIFA.I will visit here again. A trip from AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism can also be planned in the coming days,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah addressing to press at Hotel Waldorf Astoria, Lusail at Doha.

Dr Sandeep Marwah also met Akbar Al Baker Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive and learned more about the rising tourism in Qatar. International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry will create Indo Qatar Film & Cultural Forum to develop and promote relations between the two countries soon, informed Marwah.

Now the involvement is so deep that Government of 67 countries of the World have nominated us as their Cultural Ambassador. We are here to support you to our best. No doubt it is an expensive exercise, but some companies can come forward to do the needful on a continuous basis. There are hundreds of forts, palaces and heritage sites lying unattended,” added Sandeep Marwah.

A Tour to Nepal by Indo Nepal Film and Cultural Forum of ICMEI

Kathmandu: This tiny landlocked country sandwiched between the two most populated countries in the world, India, and China. Although some know it as the home to the world’s tallest mountain Mount Everest and other giant Himalayan mountains.,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism while talking to the press at Dwarika’s Hotel at Kathmandu.

“To me, Nepal is wondrous. It is full of ancient stories and beautiful temples, not to mention the world’s most magnificent mountain range. You feel like coming back again,” added Dr. Marwah who was visiting Nepal with a group of twenty five people from different segments of life supported by Tourism Committee of International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry.

In a span of few days the group visited Hotel Marriott, Hotel Taj Vivanta, Hotel Dwarika and Hotel Chandragiri Hills Resort. The cable tour to Chandragiri Hills, Pushapati Temple, Budhanilkantha Temple, Boudhanath and various markets of the city.

Sandeep Marwah has been invited by mny industrial houses and government bodies to visit again. Indo Nepal Film and Cultural Forum will plan again a trip to Nepal. Even the students of AAFT School of Hospitality & Tourism will make a short trip soon.

New Delhi: A well planned conference was conducted at the Embassy of Azerbaijan in New Delhi where H.E. Ashraf Ambassador of Azerbaijan to India proposed and offer to Indian organizations to have association and affiliation with different establishments of Azerbaijan.

International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry through its body Indo Azerbaijan film and Cultural Forum is ready to join hands with film, TV, and media companies of Azerbaijan along with educational institutions to promote relation between two countries.

ICMEI and IAFCF will also promote Azerbaijan’s locations to Indian Film Makers and promote tourism with the local people through travel fraternity.

“We are planning to have a road show in association with Embassy of Azerbaijan where people from Travel and Tourism Fraternity will interact with Embassy of Azerbaijan. Some attractive films will be shown to cover the country’s best locations,” said Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI.

“We will look for a common date to promote tourism jointly. I am very familiar with the dynamism of ICMEI Team,” said H.E. Ashraf Ambassador of Azerbaijan to India.

Indo Cambodia Culture Forum Will Promote Tourism of Cambodia

Ung Sean Ambassador of Cambodia to India at the Embassy of Cambodia New Delhi when I was invited by the Ambassador to discuss the new activities of Indo Cambodia Film and Cultural Forum,” said Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry and Chair for Indo Cambodia Film and Cultural Forum.

“It was decided to have a road show highlighting Cambodia as   the tourist destination for Indians and propagating film locations of the Kingdom of Cambodia for the film makers of Indian Film Industry,” added Marwah also President of Marwah Studios.

“We are ready to cooperate our best and shall pass on our films on tourism to make event more colorful. Our country The Kingdom of Cambodia is the country with the largest religious monument in the world, delectable cuisine, rich culture, and vast history,” said H.E. Ung Sean Ambassador of Cambodia to India.

The popular AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism will design the program in association with ICMEI and will invite people from film and tourism fraternity. A date will be announced in a short period of time.

Pride of India Award for AAFT on 15th August

New Delhi: Special National level awards were constituted by Educacio World under the leadership of Farheen Khan and some of the prominent educationists of the country to be presented on the celebration of 75^th Independence Day on 15^th August 2022.

“The First Pride of India Award 2022 goes to Dr Sandeep Marwah Chancellor AAFT University of Media and Arts and Chair for Asian Education Group for maintain the best level of education from last 29 years from the date of inception of AAFT in 1993. The boutique institute has expanded its boundaries to many fields and has been able to establish University. Twenty thousand students of the group are working in their chosen fields. The institution has given largest number of celebrities to the Nation,” said Farheen Khan while reading the Citation.

The award was presented online. Large number of educationists were present online for the award function. Dr Sandeep Marwah was also chief guest of the program who later presented awards to educationists from all over India.
