London: A well-known media, entertainment & event management company of London, UK announced Trident Awards on the Global Friendship day to honor some of the prominent international personalities for their contribution to their respective fields. Dr. Sandeep Marwah was the first one to be honored as Global Cultural Minister.

“We are overwhelmed at Trident to present Global Cultural Minister Award to Dr. Sandeep Marwah who has contributed immense in the field of films, television, art, culture, fashion and media. He is known to the World for his philanthropic activities and now with seven World Records to his credit. 27 Years of AAFT Celebrated in Pandemic on 22nd July

The eagerness and anxiousness have grown in all these four months of lockdowns and social distancing as to what new we can present from AAFT to the world of education. We have upgraded our self in these few days of pain and now ready to face the new challenge and any other unforeseen circumstances,” said Prof. Dr. Sandeep Marwah Founder Director and Chancellor of AAFT University addressing the group of journalists at New Delhi.

 

“Our journey from a boutique institute to a full-fledged university is   a case study in the media and entertainment industry and education industry all over the World. Seven world records, enormous international and national awards, incomparable accolades speak the positioning of AAFT on the world map,” added Dr. Marwah emotionally.

National Day of Belgium Celebrated at ICMEI

    National Day of Celebrated by Indo Belgium Cultural Forum

 

New Delhi: “I on behalf of ICMEI and Indian Media And Entertainment Industry extend my heartiest congratulations to H.E. Francois Delhaye Ambassador of Belgium to India and the people of Belgium on the National Day of Kingdom of Belgium which falls on 21st July,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry.

“We have extra ordinary relations with the Kingdom of Belgium and we wish to promote to a new level through trade, business, art and culture,” Marwah added also chair for Indo Belgium Film And Cultural Forum.

Dr. Marwah recollected from memory of his first visit to Belgium in 1980 when he sailed English Channel and reach at Belgium port at Oostende from Dover UK from where he took the train to Brussels the capital of Belgium.

The second visit was in 1983 to Brussels again and then next when he was invited as the international jury and honored with award at 26th Mons International Film Festival in 2010.

Jos De Clercq of Trade and Investments (Flanders) and First Secretary Embassy of Belgium in India came and revived the relations in 2013. Then it was the visit of H.E. Pierre Vaesen Ambassador of Belgium to India on the inauguration of 10th Batch of Asian School of Media Studios at Marwah Studios.

Later Antoine Delcourt Counsellor Economic Affairs, Christophe Van Overstraeten First Secretary Trade & Investment, Jos De Clercq First Secretary Trade & Investment Flanders and Abel Garamhegyi Vice President of Barco Electronic Systems were also visited and honoured with the life membership of International Film And Television Club at AAFT.

It was the visit of H.E. Jan Luylk Ambassador of Belgium to India who encouraged us a lot in 2015 when Indo Belgium Film And Cultural Forum was announced in ICMEI.  It was nice to receive the super Model Anna Kapiteijn of Belgium during our first Global Fashion Week in Noida in 2016.

Dr. Deepak Narwal European Economic Senate was at Marwah Studios to Celebrate National Day of Belgium on 21st July 2018. An acrobatic Dance Art Fusion called Sacred Place by Belgium artists Ben de Keyser, Bran De Beul, Grete Moortgat, Yesse De Veyser and Naemic Schellens at Marwah Studios during Delhi Art Festival 2019 was remarkable.

New Delhi: ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry celebrated the National Day of Bahamas in a joint meeting on the Web and congratulated the Consul General Ashish Saraf and the people of Bahamas on this auspicious day.

A festival of films from Bahamas is now under pipeline after delivering a scholarship to the deserving student from Bahamas to study cinema in AAFT University in India.

ICMEI Invited Dignities To Discuss Changing Scenario of Events

 

New Delhi: International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry in association with AAFT School of PR Events and Advertising invited people from Industry to discuss the changing scenario of events in India.

“Productivity is never an accident. It is always the result of a commitment to excellence, intelligent planning, and focused effort. Some people look for a beautiful place. Others make a place beautiful and that is the job of people who belong to this segment of business called Events,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Chamber and Marwah Studios.

“It is not the strongest of the species that survive, not the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change. Time has come when we have to peep into other boxes what can bring back excitement to life. Without events we are a gloomy society,” added Dr. Marwah and initiated the discussion.

“Time is a sort of river of passing events, and strong is its current; no sooner is a thing brought to sight than it is swept by and another takes its place, and this too will be swept away. We have already started our events on web and response is fantastic. No doubt that events are the part & parcel of media and entertainment industry and it has accrued loss of billions of rupees in last 100 days,” said Dr. Sanjeev Layek Executive Secretary of WASME.

“I can’t change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination.” Dr. George V. Antony read the quote of James Dean. He expressed how events associated with management ans education have changed the shape and attracting required crowd for the same.

“The only way to do great work is to love what you do, that’s what I am doing by performing for the camera ad I know its reaching people through social media. I have just finished few shows last week,” said Jaya Pridarshini renowned Classical Dancer.

“It was a difficult stage for all of us as we need live audience to perform classical dance. Even young dancers who were learning from me now have to use web for training. We have lost fun in performing and missing on the appreciation from the live audience,” said Anu Sinha Kathak exponent.

Hriju Shah renowned music director, Acharya Mukesh Sharma a yoga expert, Film director Raju Prasekar also spoke on the subject in detail. Chetan Joshi is a noted flautist in the Hindustani classical music tradition expressed his views and won the hearts of the participants when he played the flute on the web.

Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), the National Standards Body has been successfully promoting and nurturing standards movement within the country since 1947. BIS came into existence on 01 April 1987 through an Act of Parliament dated 26 November 1986.

It took over the staff, assets, liabilities and functions of the erstwhile Indian Standards Institution (ISI) with an enlarged scope and enhanced powers for harmonious development of activities of standardization, marking and quality certification of goods and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. New Delhi: The Coronavirus pandemic has had sweeping repercussions on all sectors of the economy worldwide. However, the sectors that will be extremely hard hit are the ones that come in the category of non-essential spending. Design apparel and footwear definitely come in this category,” said Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry at the webinar organized for the young fashion designers.

Fashion and Textile industry accounts for approximately 4% of the global T&A market. The T&A industry is one of the largest and the most important sectors for the Indian economy in terms of output, foreign exchange earnings and employment. The industry contributes approximately 7% to industrial output in value terms, 2% to the GDP and 15% to the country’s export earnings,” briefed Lali Sahni member ICMEI & renowned exporter from Noida

“T&A provides direct employment to over 45 million people but the nationwide lockdown has led to a temporary closure of factories and lay-offs have already begun among low wage workers,” added Varija Bajaj renowned fashion designer.

“There are many ways to keep your self busy as a designer. This is the best time to study the national and international fashion. You can even start preparing a range for march next year. Your deep research towards the upcoming requirements will get you a better business,” said Swati Modo renowned footwear designer.

“Plan your design books, convert them into digital and be ready for your digital shows as that is what now going to sell for the next few months or may be years,” suggested Rosy Ahluwalia popular designer at Oscar show from India.

Covid 19 has changed the thinking of human mind. Global trade is going to be restricted. Marriage functions will be hampered because of social distancing. Local fashion shows have been cancelled also. You have to be out of box to be in limelight. Those products will have demand which can be easily sold-out on line,” expressed Kirti Rathore designer from Rajasthan.

Arpita Mehta’s Master Class At AAFT School of Fashion And Design

Mumbai: A special master class of renowned fashion designer Arpita Mehta was organized by AAFT University for the students of AAFT School of Fashion And Design during lock down owing to Covid 19.

“I had great interest in fashion from very beginning. I have been actually adorning distinctive styles worn by my mother and my grandmother. In order to pursue my passion, I went on to achieve my degree in Apparel Manufacture and Dress Design from the prestigious SNDT University, Mumbai,” informed Arpita Mehta.

Designer Arpita Mehta charted her journey in the world of fashion in 2009, and has since become a new-age force to be reckoned with. The label’s minimalist yet fashion-forward fare brings about a seamless blend of ethnic and contemporary designs that enhances the feminine silhouette. Arpita Mehta’s name has consequently become synonymous with her signature aesthetic of hand-embroidered mirror work ensembles in trendy cuts and eclectic colour palettes.

Arpita expressed her love for fashion and gave some wonderful tips to the young fashion designers. She also answered many questions by giving examples from her own life. Ritu Lal Director SOFD conducted the session.
