There is a Need For Spiritual City in India- Sandeep Marwah

New Delhi: “We have space, we have courage, we have enthusiasm and India is, as it is, called the spiritual capital of the World, I think there has to be a spiritual city in this country,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President ICMEI & Marwah Studios speaking at the International conference on Spiritual Dimension of Sustainable Development and Marketing the Unmarketed India for Vishwa Guru Bharat organized by IECSME-Indo European Chamber of Small & Medium Enterprises.

“My visit to Vatican city gave me enough confidence when a spiritual city has been actually carved as a separate country. This action is not only going to bring a sense of oneness within Indian and people of the World but will also turn out to be the biggest source of tourism and rich economy,” added Dr. Sandeep Marwah also President of World Peace Development And Research Foundation.

The event was on the occasion of 2nd Foundation Day of Dr. Kamal Taori International Institute of Panchayati Raj and Holistic Rural Development and as a part of Yog Vidya Jagriti Abhiyan- International Holistic Health Movement initiated from NEC Ministry of DoNER Government of India.

World Nature Conservation Day Observed at AAFT University

    AAFT University Celebrated World Nature Conservation Day

New Delhi: World Nature Conservation Day is celebrated on July 28 of every year around the world. World Nature Conservation Day 2020 recognizes that a healthy environment is key to a healthy and sustainable society. On this World Nature Conservation Day, people should put an effort to protect the earth and conserve the natural resources.

“Each and every activity in the world depends upon nature so people should understand that any activity they do will affect the earth. Conservation of nature is of utmost importance to all human beings and their life on Earth. Earth has given essential need to live like water, air, trees, animals, food, soil, minerals, etc. so its people duty to keep the environment safe and clean,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chancellor of AAFT University while talking to the young students of AAFT University in a program to celebrate World Conservation Day on Web.

“There are so many threats to nature, such as deforestation, illegal trade in wildlife, pollution, plastics use, chemicals, industrial developments, and many more factors. So, it is important to protect nature and to create a healthy environment for present and future generations,” added Dr. Marwah also Patron to IFUNA- Indian Federation of United Nations Associations.

While answering the questions Dr. Marwah suggested some of the steps to conserve the nature like- Use of alternative energy- such as solar and wind energy, Plant more trees to maintain the ecosystem and to prevent soil erosion, Use the water resources in a proper way and reuse the kitchen water for watering the gardens, Grow vegetation in catchment areas, Reduce the usage of electricity, Use the recyclable and biodegradable products, Ensure the recycling of wastes, Try to minimize the use of cars for shorter distance, Use paper bags or cloth bag instead of plastic bags, Grow the own vegetables by using organic compost and Install water treatment plants and rainwater harvesting.

National Day of France Celebrated at ICMEI

National Day of France Celebrated at ICMEI on 14th July

 

New Delhi: The Members and the Governing council of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry celebrated the National Day of France which falls on 14th July in a meeting set for celebration on web.

“I take this wonderful opportunity to congratulate H.E. Emmanuel Lenain Ambassador of France to India and the people of France on the auspicious ocassion of their National Day. I wish India and France should remain best of the friends for all time to come,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI and Chair for Indo French Film And Cultural Forum.

“I cannot forget my visit to France in last May where I was honored with Life Time Achievement Award during Cannes International Film Festival and I was also Co-President of jury for two of the festivals at Cannes,” added Dr. Marwah.

“This time also I was nominated as Co president of International Mobile Festival, which ultimately happened online due to Corona Virus. Soon we will plan some more events with cultural center of French Embassy in New Delhi,” expressed Sandeep Marwah.

National Day of Iraq Celebrated at ICMEI

National Day of Republic of Iraq Celebrated at ICMEI on 14th July

 

New Delhi: “I on behalf of ICMEI and Indian Media and Entertainment Industry take this opportunity to extend our heartiest congratulations to H.E. Dr. Falah Abdulhasan Abdulsada Ambassador of Iraq to India and people of Iraq on the national day of Iraq which falls on 14th July,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry while celebrating the day on web.

The bilateral relations between the Republic of Iraq and the Republic of India have traditionally been friendly and collaborative. Cultural interaction and economic trade between Indus Valley and Mesopotamia date back to 1800 BCE. The 1952 Treaty of Friendship established and strengthened ties between contemporary India and Iraq. By the 1970s, Iraq was regarded as one of India’s closest allies in the Middle East.

The formation of Indo Iraq film and Cultural Forum is a step to promote ties between two countries through art and culture. Dr. Sandeep Marwah has been Chairing the forum and ample has been done under his leadership.

New Delhi: ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry celebrated the National Day of Bahamas in a joint meeting on the Web and congratulated the Consul General Ashish Saraf and the people of Bahamas on this auspicious day.

Bahamas is a beautiful place to visit said Dr. Marwah recollecting his last visit to Bahamas many years back with popular Indian bollywood stars. A discussion was on with the good office of Consul General as to how more cultural activities can be planned after pandemic is over. A festival of films from Bahamas is now under pipeline after delivering a scholarship to the deserving student from Bahamas to study cinema in AAFT University in India.

Recently he has been honored with a honorary degree from The George Washington University of Peace, Washington. Earlier also he was honored by -Kings University Honolulu for his untiring efforts to bring whole World together through art and culture.

Dr. Marwah has established strong interactions with University of Southern California and many other institutions when it comes to education. He had been also a case study with University of California Los Angles. Earlier, H.E. Kenneth I Juster Ambassador of United States of America to India had appreciated the efforts of Dr. Marwah.

New Delhi: A popular book titled- ‘A Walk In The Corridors of Eternity’ written by a young writer Shreeya Katyal -A biography on the world-renowned media person Sandeep Marwah is now going for the second edition as the first edition is totally sold out, informed Anil Verma of legendary publishers Star Publication, New Delhi.

Earlier Dr. Sandeep Marwah presented the first copy of the book to the Bharat Rattan and former President of India Dr. Pranab Mukerjee who highly appreciated the efforts of Dr. Sandeep Marwah of uniting the World through art and culture.

The book was released by Arif Mohammad Khan Governor of Kerala, Priyadarshan a renowned film director from South, Rahul Rawail film director and advisor to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, Muzaffar Ali a well-known producer, director writer, poet and fashion designer, T.P. Agarwal Former President of FFI- Film Federation of India and President of IMPPA- Indian Motion Picture Producers Association and  B.N.Tewari president of FWICE- Federation of Western India Cine Employees.

ICMEI Invited Dignities To Discuss Changing Scenario of Events

 

New Delhi: International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry in association with AAFT School of PR Events and Advertising invited people from Industry to discuss the changing scenario of events in India.

“Productivity is never an accident. It is always the result of a commitment to excellence, intelligent planning, and focused effort. Some people look for a beautiful place. Others make a place beautiful and that is the job of people who belong to this segment of business called Events,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Chamber and Marwah Studios.

“It is not the strongest of the species that survive, not the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change. Time has come when we have to peep into other boxes what can bring back excitement to life. Without events we are a gloomy society,” added Dr. Marwah and initiated the discussion.

“Time is a sort of river of passing events, and strong is its current; no sooner is a thing brought to sight than it is swept by and another takes its place, and this too will be swept away. We have already started our events on web and response is fantastic. No doubt that events are the part & parcel of media and entertainment industry and it has accrued loss of billions of rupees in last 100 days,” said Dr. Sanjeev Layek Executive Secretary of WASME.

“I can’t change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination.” Dr. George V. Antony read the quote of James Dean. He expressed how events associated with management ans education have changed the shape and attracting required crowd for the same.

“The only way to do great work is to love what you do, that’s what I am doing by performing for the camera ad I know its reaching people through social media. I have just finished few shows last week,” said Jaya Pridarshini renowned Classical Dancer.

“It was a difficult stage for all of us as we need live audience to perform classical dance. Even young dancers who were learning from me now have to use web for training. We have lost fun in performing and missing on the appreciation from the live audience,” said Anu Sinha Kathak exponent.

Hriju Shah renowned music director, Acharya Mukesh Sharma a yoga expert, Film director Raju Prasekar also spoke on the subject in detail. Chetan Joshi is a noted flautist in the Hindustani classical music tradition expressed his views and won the hearts of the participants when he played the flute on the web.

 

 

FFI Congratulated Sandeep Marwah on His New Appointment in Ministry

Sandeep Marwah Paid His Gratitude to Film Federation of India

 

Mumbai: The President and members of FFI- Film Federation of India, the Apex body of Film business in India, congratulated Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Chancellor AAFT University of Media And Arts on his new appointment as the Chairperson of Media And Entertainment Service Sectional Committee of Bureau of Indian Standard, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food And Public Distribution, Government of India by official government order.

“Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) is the National Standard Body of India. BIS is responsible for the harmonious development of the activities of standardization, marking and quality certification of goods and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.,” informed Dr. Sandeep Marwah to the house, who is also the executive member of FFI.

The committee has requested the President of FFI Firdausul Hassan to be part of this new setup in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs. The Secretary General Supran Sen made a special note of the same. Dr. Marwah extended his gratitude to all the members of FFI present in the web meeting.
