Powerful Workshop by Nikita Gandhi at AAFT School of Performing Arts

Noida: “Learning music, you need lots of devotion. This is an art which comes with practice and then practice makes you perfect. Singing song means you need to have perfect diction, speech, little knowledge of language and command on your voice,” initiated Dr Sandeep Marwah President of AAFT School of Performing Arts at the inauguration of new batch of 2022 of the school introducing Nikita Gandhi a renowned singer from Mumbai.

“Knowledge of music, continuous practice and quality to change with direction, not to be rigid are some more qualities you need to be known in this industry. It is growing industry and digitization has added a lot to the existing business. Create your own channels, social media will tell you how good you are in your art and to be successful you have to be honest to your profession,” said Nikita Gandhi who won the hearts of young students with her appealing voice. She sang her hit numbers and created a beautiful environment at Marwah Studios.

Nikhita Gandhi  is an Indian playback singer  who has worked in Indian films in four different languages. She has worked on Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Bengali, and Kannada film projects.

She sang as the face of Deepika Padukone in Raabta  for the title track “Raabta”.Her song ” Ullu ka Pattha” dual with Arijit Singh from the film Jagga Jasoos is a hit song. She sang for Sachin: A Billion Dreams, Chef, Jab Harry Met Sejal, and Ittefaq. She also sang a Bengali song “Mithe Alo” with Atif Aslam for Cockpit.  Her song “Aao Kabhi Haveli Pe” and “Poster Lagwa Do” also became popular.

Sandeep Marwah Honoured For His Services

New Delhi: The renowned media personality and President of Marwah Studios was presented with a memento by Ambassador H.E. Sinisa Pevic Charge d’ Affairs of Serbia to India in a small event at Embassy of Serbia for his sincere contribution to the development and promotion of Indo Serbia relations from last four years.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah has been the Chair of Indo Serbia Film And Cultural Forum created by Embassy of Serbia in association with International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry four years back with the support of H.E. Vladimir Maric then the Ambassador of Serbia to India.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah is the first Indian to be honoured doctorate by two different Serbian Institutions for his contribution to International Culture diplomacy and promotion of Roma internationally.

“We are happy to present this memento to Dr. Sandeep Marwah for his deep interest in Republic of Serbia and continuous efforts to promote business and culture between the people of two countries,” said Ambassador H.E. Sinisa Pevic.

“I am so thankful to the Ambassador for his wonderful gesture. It has given me new energy to work for Indo Serbian relations. We have already planned number of programs and events for the next one year and will move one by one systematically,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah.

AAGAAS A Dance Recital on New Year Day

New Delhi: ICMEI-International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry in association with Urvashi Dance and Music Art And Cultural Society opened the New Year 2021 with a program on  Dances of India by the legends of Indian Classical Dancers.

“The program has been titled as Aagaas which means beginning, yes, it is the beginning of New Year and we want to celebrate with great pomp and show. We want to highlight Indian art and culture to rest of the World through these kinds of programs,” said Rekha Mehra Director of AAGAAS and founder of Urvashi Dance Music Art and Cultural Society.

“Culture is the way we see and do things as a society. The term incorporates the social norms, values and traditions, knowledge and technology, food, language, the arts, and many other things. Culture is an important part of the way we experience life. Indian art consists of its dances and music has a great historical values,” added Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI.

 Sharmila Sharma Kathak Exponent from Paris, Sangita Jha Singer from Mumbai, Padma Bhushan Dr. Saroja Vaidyanathan Bharatnatyam Exponent from Delhi, Svetlana & Ashwai Nigam Kathak Exponent from Moscow, PadamShree Ranjana Gauhar Odissi Exponent, Jayashree Acharya Kathak Exponent and Kajal Sharma Kathak Exponent from United Kingdom were the participants of the New Year Show.

Chatt Mahautsav Attracted People From All Over India

Chatt Mahautsav Celebrated in Delhi Noida

Noida: “The art and culture is the only way to bring peace love and unity to the World. Charity begins at Home, every one should try to get involved with one or other art to bring a healthy and creative environment around yourself,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios while initiating the program.

The event started with talk by Anu Sinha renowned Kathak exponent and Director of Krishna Kala Foundation expressing her desire to develop and promote young talent of the country in arts followed by presentation by Umesh Ji and Rajeshwari Tyagrajan who all spoke about Chatt festival and historical traditions.

Today’s program also witnessed renowned singer Vishwapriya Mukherjee who sang traditional and modern numbers related to the festival. “I am a multifaced person with a creative background and a through workaholic. My objective is to render my service to the industry to the best of my capabilities and in the most qualitative manner while keeping in mind the hardest of timelines,” said Mukherjee.

Danseuse Jaya Priyadarshini enthralled all with her graceful kathak moves and some Chhat geet which were choreographed equally with precision in kathak style. “Classical Dance is my passion. I have always treated my dance as my prayers,” said Jaya Priyadarshini.

Ambadipudi  Lakshmi, Dr. Krishna pal, Mahipal Singh, R.Sakarwar ji, Mona  Verma,   Rachana Bhargawa, Asavari pawar,  Rajni Rao, Dr. Amita Khare, Anuradha Sharma Abha Bansaland many more art lovers of this Art fraternity. The program completed with Singe R. Suman who enthralled the audience with her Chhat geet.

Chatt Mahautsav Had A Super Start

Noida: The second day of Chatt Mahautsav saw great participation from all over India and abroad. Large audience spoke about Chatt in a chat show conducted by Anu Sinha internationally acclaimed Kathak exponent.

“A nation’s culture resides in the hearts and in the soul of its people. I extend my heartiest congratulations to the complete art fraternity for their voluntary participation even this time of Pandemic. Your presence has given a new energy and moral boost to many young and enthusiastic performers to come forward. Indian art and culture is meant to bring love, peace and unity,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chancellor of AAFT University of Media And Arts while inaugurating the session. 

.Artist and performer Rajni Rao, performed Kathak  on Suryashtakam and a Devotional geet “ Pahile pahile Chhati Maiya”. She justified that the Chhat is a celebration of worshipping Morning Rising Sun as well as for Setting Sun of the evening,

Rajni Rao is a Choreographer at Nritya and  Director at Adiraj school of Dance, Which hosts number of musical and cultural activities under one roof. It is a venture to nurture the younger generation and enhance them towards Cultural, Aesthetic and Confident heights to rise above average. A born leader who loves to take up new challenging and learning experiences from work desk.

Umesh Verma, Dr. Kalyani, Renubala Singh, Leena Singh, Rajeshwari  Tyagrajan and many others spoke on Chatt festival  and its importance. They all share their valuable experiences with the audience.

Virtual Education Is Next Big Thing- Sandeep Marwah

New First Virtual School in Dehradun Inaugurated by Chief Minister of Uttarakhand


Dehradun: “Virtual education is one of the most important innovation of this time, It is the best alternate to traditional method of teaching, we have learned in Pandemic. It is quite helpful to those students who actually cannot attend the school owing to many reasons. Virtual education is the next big thing that will change the way of living and will be part of new normal,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios & Chancellor AAFT University of Media And Arts at the inauguration of the first virtual school in Dehradun.

A fully Virtual Home school in India, that offers Cambridge Curriculum, and offers courses in Vedic and Moral Education,  Vedic Math, Sanskrit, Astronomy and Civic Senses, among other subjects was earlier Inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Shri Trivendra Singh Rawat.

The school in Dehradun is hailed as *The First Virtual Home school in the country.* And will be offering admissions from Kindergarten to Grade 12. The admissions can be taken throughout the year,  and a term will be considered for 9 months. The Cambridge Board,  provides globally recognised education programs and examinations in various countries. 

“The home school serves as an alternative and comfortable method to established School Education system,  and can help boost the confidence level of children, by allowing them to choose subjects based on their talent and interests,” said the CEO Mrs Reena Prakash Tyagi. 
 
The entire team of SEAS Global Institute,  was present for the Virtual Occasion.  The Chancellor Education Dr. Sandeep Marwah, informed “The SEAS Global Institute is going to setup a bench mark in the overall development of children, it is not only going to be School Education , but Higher Education too.”

Udit Narayan Shared His Experience with Students of AAFT University

Mumbai: Well-known singer Udit Narayan addressed the students of AAFT University of Media And Arts in a special class on web. The students from all the disciplined were amazed to meet this legendary singer who has been awarded Padma Shree and Padma Bhushan for his untiring work in the field of music.

“Music is life, and I cannot think anything else other than singing. It’s a passion and only those people get success in life who are passionate for their profession. My journey was very difficult, but patience helped me to achieve what I wanted to gain in this music industry,” said Udit Narayan talking to the students of AAFT School of performing arts and other schools.

The awards and appreciations are needed to every artist, but they should bring new blood to your work. I got the opportunity to sing with every music director and for every known hero of the industry. I am thankful to my parents, teachers and everyone one who has supported me in my journey,” said Udit Narayan emotionally.

“Music takes you to spirituality, people who don’t love art, culture, music cannot be considered complete human beings,” said Sandeep Marwah President of AAFT University. Marwah presented to Udit Narayan an award of excellence -Evergreen Icon of Music in Indian Film Industry to honour his visit to AAFT.

Udit Narayan is a renowned Indian Playback Singer who has featured in numerous Bollywood films. He has also made a mark with his singing in varoious other languages including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Odia, Nepali, etc. He also the recipient of 4 Natonal awards and 5 film fare awards. He has been in singing since 1980 and has sung so far 25000 songs.

Udit Narayan has sung for Amitabh Bachchan, Rajesh Khanna, Amir Khan, Dev Anand, Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Anil Kapoor and many more. His work has been well appreciated in films like Pukar, Dharkhan, Lagan, Devdas Veer Zara and many more.

Asian Academy of Arts Will Plan A Festival on Dances of India

New Delhi: A vibrant meeting took place on web at Asian Academy of Arts- a subsidiary of Marwah Studios Noida Film City, when it was decided to have a festival of Dances from all over India by senior and known classical dancers and followed by young presenters.

Asian Academy of Arts, the presenters of one of the biggest literary festivals of India announced now the festival of Dances of India from different parts of India which is going to be another feather in the cap of Marwah Studios. “The festival will run in a row for six months i.e. 24 weeks to showcase 24 different artists on weekly basis, of different forms of Indian dances,” informed Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Chair for AAA.

The festival will be on web and will be broadcasted to more than million people in more than 100 countries of the World. Radio Noida and MSTV will be the partners in progress. Asian News Agency has promised to publish more than hundred coverages all over the World.

“We are obsoletely ready for this kind of an event and will cooperate to our best,” said Anu Sinha. The meeting was also attended classical dancers Rajeshwary Thayagarajan, Dr. Rama, Nandini Singh, Prerna Shrimali, Ramni Kashyap, Jayapriyadarshini and art promoter Umesh Sharma.

AAFT University Paid Gratitude to The Makers of Film Zanjeer

New Delhi: The pioneer film university of the country AAFT University of Media and Arts in association with International Film And Television Research Centre conducted a webinar to pay gratitude to the makers of feature film ZANJEER, one of the most successful films of Indian film industry.

 

Studying film through its makers is always a rare commodity in a film school. The pain of producing and directing the film can only be seen in the eyes of producer and director.  Hit and flop films should always be the part of the syllabus of young film aspirants,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chancellor of the University initiating the powerful webinar in AAFT School of Cinema.

 

Zanjeer in real was the turning point of the career of now so called the Masiah of Indian Film Industry- Amitabh Bachchan. The film was produced and directed by then the most popular commercial film maker Prakash Mehra who went out of way to cast Amitabh Bachchan even after two mediocre hits and 11 flop films. Film Zanjeer is evaluated as “The Birth of A Super Star”.

 

Well-known writer, critic and eminent scholar of Asian Cinema Aruna Vasudev expressed that the film is made to see again and again. The gripping story is the key to success.

 

Special invitee on the occasion Rakesh Kumar a well-known film director known for his films like Khoon Pasina, Mr. Natarwarlal, Do Aur Do Panch and Yarana with Amitabh Bachchan and Suryavanshi with Salman Khan narrated and unfold many stories of making of Zanjeer. “Amitabh Bachchan is one of the finest actors cinema has seen,” said Rakesh.

 

The guest of honor and first assistant that time known director Sushil Malik popular for his films Imaandar with Sanjay Dutt and Jaan Ki Kasam with Sumit Sehgal and Rohan Kapoor also recounted stories on creation of Zanjeer. “It is life time certificate to work with legend Amitabh Bachchan,” Malik added.

World Music Day Celebrated at AAFT University

World Music Day Celebrated by AAFT School of Performing Arts

New Delhi: AAFT School of Performing Arts in association with International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry celebrated World Music Day on web which falls on 21st June. Neither any outdoor activity nor group of people gathered to create the music this time owing to Pandemic in the World.

“Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything. Music is a language that doesn’t speak in particular words. It speaks in emotions, and if it’s in the bones, it’s in the bones,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chancellor of the University while talking to the students and professionals about the promotion of music in the country.

“I think music in itself is healing. It’s an explosive expression of humanity. It’s something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we’re from, everyone loves music. Music produces a kind of pleasure which human nature cannot do without. A painter paints pictures on canvas, but musicians paint their pictures on silence,” added Dr. Sandeep Marwah appreciating the works of AAFT music students.

AAFT School of Performing arts is associated with large number of professional events round the year. Many well-known music directors, singers, musicians and technicians are now part of the AAFT board.
