Noida: “India’s animation and VFX industry was valued at around 83 billion Indian rupees in 2021, despite the lapse in market value in the previous year owed to the pandemic’s adverse effects. Estimates for 2024 indicate a growth rate of 29 percent with the industry’s value amounting to180 billion Indian rupees,” informed Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry addressing the students of AAFT School of Animation.

We need to look more at original stories and content rather than just being an outsourcing hub. For this to happen, media, corporate houses and Government need to invest a good amount of money in Indian Animation Industry.  With the current Government and the announcement of a National Centre for Excellence in Animation by FM in the Budget, it definitely looks promising,” said Vrinda Sood founder and CEO of Citrus in a workshop conducted at AAFT.

“India has the world’s second-largest entertainment market, the Indian animation and visual effects industry has the potential to grab 20 to 25% of the worldwide AVGC market added Vrinda Soon answering questions by the animation students. Later Sandeep Marwah honoured Vrind with lifec membership of International Film and Television Club of AAFT. The workshop was designed by Ashish Garg Director AAFT School of Animation.

Exhibition of Paintings Inaugurated at AAFT School of Animation

Noida: “Human Being it seems are at their best when immersed deeply in something challenging. Creativity does not wait for that moment it fashions its own perfect moments out of ordinary ones. Persian art or Iranian art has one of the richest art heritages in world history and has been strong in many media including architecture, painting, weaving, pottery, calligraphy, metalworking and sculpture,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of AAFT School of Animation at the inauguration of exhibition of miniature paintings from Iran at AAFT campus.

“Characteristics of Persian miniature painting include the use of sharply defined areas of bright, pure color and the exacting depiction of detail in both background and foreground; these distinguish Persian painting from European painting,” added Dr. Mohd. Ali Rabbani, Cultural Counselor Iran Culture House, Embassy of Iran in the capacity of Chief Guest of the show.

The exhibition was created by well-known artists from Iran Goordraz Azad Panahi and Hamzah Ali Quadari also visiting professors in Iran Universities. The guest also release the books prepared by the students of AAFT School of Animation.

Forty different paintings depicting the art and culture of Iran were displayed for the students and faculty to learn and enjoy. A workshop how to paint miniatures was conducted by Goodraz Azad Panahi & Hamzah Ali Quadari.

Later Sandeep Marwah honoured the guest with the life membership of World Peace Development and Research Foundation. Director Ashish Garg presented vote of thanks and conducted the program. The event was supported by International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry & Indo Iran Film and Cultural Forum.

ANIMAZICA INAUGURATED AT AAFT SCHOOL OF ANIMATION

Noida:” Animation can explain whatever the mind of man can conceive. This facility makes it the most versatile and explicit means of communication yet devised for quick mass appreciation. It’s kind of fun to do the impossible. Times and conditions change so rapidly that we must keep our aim constantly focused on the future,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chancellor of AAFT University of Media and Arts while inaugurating the annual fest- ANIMAZICA of AAFT School of Animation.

“Work opportunities for quality animators and related professionals like graphic designer, multimedia developer and game developer, character designers are in Advertising Online and Print News Media, Film & Television, Cartoon production, Video Gaming, E-learning. Though, these are some examples only. Opportunities exists both with government as well as private sector enterprises. Animation itself is an industry, and as industry it’s on boom,” added Dr. Marwah.

“The animation industry, which was once dominated by the West, has found a new hub in India. Among all the Asian countries, India has got the potential and the creative juices to produce world class animations,” said Vinay Kumar Vikram CCO and Co- Founder of Twin Brains Studio.

“The global animation industry is huge and as an animation artist, you have great scope both in India  and abroad. Animation as a profession is very lucrative,” said  Dr. S. Suresh Kumar CTO Brain Tower of Oman.

A poster of the cultural group –‘Aarohan to Rise’ was released on the occasion. Dr. Sandeep Marwah and all other guests appreciated the vast display of works of students of different classes and departments. Every design, digital paintings, models, animated films, graphics, sketching, games, lighting effects, meant for print industry, television & cinema were par excellence.

Ashish Garg Associate Director of AAFT School of Animation and AAFT School of Data Science took personal interest in showcasing the works of each and every department of both the institutes. He Paid vote of thanks and presented life membership of International film and television club of Marwah Studios to Vinay Vikram Singh & Dr. D. Suresh Kumar the distinguished guests on the occasion. The event was supported by ICMEI.

Sandeep Marwah Gave Convocation Address at ASMS School of Animation

Noida22nd June 2021: Asian School of Media Studies organised its convocation of School of Animation and Special Effects online to handover the prestigious awards and diplomas to the passing out students of 2017-2020 Undergraduate and 2018-2020 post graduate students in graphics and animation VFX and other associated courses.

“Always have big ambitions there is no tax on thinking big, dreaming big. Bigger the thinking higher the success this is the first principle of achieving some thing in life. Be tough so that you can face all sort of unforeseen circumstances. Be techno savvy, it is the age of technology, upgrade yourself, read a lot, see what is new. Develop motivation within yourself. It is not available anywhere in the World. Self-motivation will take you to your destination,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chancellor of AAFT University of Media and Arts in his convocation address thanking faculty, management, and administration of Asian School of Media Studies for working so hard even in the pandemic.

Arsh Kumar Mishra BSC Animation, Divesh Kumar Diploma in 3D Animation & VFX and Ramesh Pandey Multi Media & Digital Marketing were honored with Suraj Parkash Marwah Memorial Award , Ranjana Raj Msc Animation Kiran Kathyat Diploma in Multi Media & Digital Marketing were presented with Sheela Marwah Memorial Award.

Three names were nominated for over all best performance during the session and Aman Shah BSc. in Animation, Nikita Bhayana Msc. in Animation, Swapmil Shikha Diploma in 3D Animation & VFX were awarded for that.
