New Delhi: The distinguished Sandeep Marwah, Chancellor of AAFT University and National Chairman of the Media and Entertainment Committee, BIS, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Government of India, inaugurated the National Lawyers Conference 2023 at New Delhi with an impassioned call for legal professionals to elevate their activities and contribute significantly to the nation’s advancement.

In his opening remarks, Marwah emphasized the pivotal role that law plays in the progress of a nation. He urged the legal fraternity to step out of their comfort zones and raise the standards of their work, underscoring the immense responsibility they bear in ensuring the comprehensive growth of every segment of the country within defined parameters.

The inaugural session witnessed the presence of former judges, a substantial number of senior and junior lawyers, representatives from the press and media, and law students from across India, all coming together to mark the commencement of this significant conference.

During the event, Sandeep Marwah launched two innovative mobile applications designed to enhance the convenience of the law and justice community. These applications, promoted by Dr. Priya Thakur, aim to streamline processes and provide valuable tools for legal professionals.

National Consumer Right Day Celebrated at ICMEI

New Delhi: National Consumers Right Day  is observed on 24 December to raise awareness about the rights of consumers and responsibilities. This is the day when the Consumer Protection Act, 1986 had received the assent of the President

“The aim of the enactment of the Consumer Protection Act is to provide safeguards to consumers against various types of exploitation like defective goods, deficiency in services, and unfair trade practices,” informed Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI and National Chairman for Media And Entertainment Committee of BIS, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Government of India at a webinar hosted in association with Asian Law College.

“A consumer is a person who buys any goods or avails a service for consideration. It does not consist of a person who obtains a good for resale or a good or service for commercial purposes. It also covers transactions through several modes like offline, online via electronic means, teleshopping, multi-level marketing, or direct selling,” added Dr. Marwah while talking to the members of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry. The session was followed by discussion and question answers.

Legal Service Day Celebrated at ICMEI

Noida: Legal Services Day is celebrated every year on the 9th of November in all the state Authorities. Legal literacy camps and functions are organised in many places in the capital city of the country. Legal Services Day which first started by the Supreme Court in the year 1995 all across 

“The aim of celebrating Legal Services Day is to offer them free of charge, proficient, and legal services to the people of weaker sections of society. The day celebration is organized all over India to increase awareness of free legal aid towards every weak citizen of the country,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios in a webinar organised by International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry in association with Asian Law College Noida.

It aims to make sure the availability of free services to the weaker section people as well as making them conscious about their rights. The right message sends by the government authorities that all the people who come under underprivileged citizens free legal services as their constitutional right. Service is free legal aid, which is not associated with a charity. The session was followed by question answers.

         Great Musical Evening by Jassy B at Marwah Studios

Noida: More than 2000 students of different streams from Asian Education Group gathered and danced together on the tunes of renowned international singer JASSY B at Marwah Studios Complex and enjoyed the evening which was part of the annual two day cultural program KISSET-2020.

“Jassy B has been a wonderful choice, he is an actor, musician, model and I must say a real entertainer. He has given numerous hits in India and abroad. He has a large following all over the globe especially the Punjabi music listeners,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Asian Education Group.

Jaswinder Singh Bains better known by his stage name Jazzy B is an Indian-Canadian Punjabi playback singer and songwriter. His first album Gugiyan Da Jora was released in 1993. In 2000 Jazzy made his film debut in Shaheed Udham Singh In 2006 he appeared in Sunny Deol’s movie Teesri Aankh: The Hidden Camera with Amisha Patel and no looking back.

The show lasted for hours with all his latest and old hit numbers. He attended to the students in the most comfortable way and fulfilled their demands by singing numbers of their choices.

Later Dr. Sandeep Marwah honored the singer by presenting a memento and wished him all the success for all time to come. The show was managed by Asian Business School. Dr. Lalitya Srivastava, Saurab Sharma and Gurdeep Singh Walia Director Asian Education Group were also present there.

“It’s a historical day and we are fortunate to have with us Hon. Dipak Misra a luminary known for his notable judgments. His presence has elevated the competition to a new level and has given a new stature to the education at Asian Law College,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Asian Law College.

Present at the occasion, Dr. Sukhda Pritam Judicial Magistrate & Deputy Registrar at National Green Tribunal (NGT) motivated and guided students to stand for the rights of the people and justify their profession. Her words of wisdom gave a right vision to students towards their professional legal career.

Justice Dipak Misra highly appreciated the initiative of the institution for starting the judicial coaching and inaugurated the “ALC Judicial Coaching Academy” in the ALC campus.

Top law colleges and universities across the country with 24 teams and 72 participants contested for honors at this two days competition at ALC.

Noida: Asian Law College (ALC) part of Asian Education Group and ranked as one of the best Law Colleges in Delhi NCR inaugurated the orientation of BALLB and LLB 2019 Batch on Monday, 19th August 2019 by Hon’ble Justice K. G. Balakrishnan, Former Chief Justice of India

“The Orientation Program provided an opportunity to all the new students to explore the wide horizon of law by interacting with legal professional, industry experts, retired Judges, Senior Advocate and foreign delegates who mentored the incoming BALLB & LLB batch at the inception of their academic journey at ALC,” said Dr. Lalitya Vir Srivastava.

Addressing the students’ gathering, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President, Asian Education Group (AEG), congratulated the students and told them how “there is huge scope for lawyers today in this country. In the coming five to ten years you will be in great demand with people rushing to law schools for better, bigger, smarter and intelligent lawyers.” Dr. Marwah charged up the atmosphere in his customary style.

Dr. Marwah exhorted the students to align their thinking & feelings with goodness and to remember “to achieve one’s goal in life, you have to have a very strong determination and a Yes-I-Can-Do-It attitude.”

Delivering his Chief Guest address, Hon’ble Justice Sh. K. G. Balakrishnan, Former Chief Justice of India & Former Chairperson, National Human Rights Commission of India, talked about the legal landscape, which is undergoing a transformation with improved prospects.

His Excellency Mr. Ricardo A Berna, Deputy Head of Mission Embassy of Panama started his address by extending the greetings from Panamanian President Mr. Laurentino Cortizo to the august gathering. He then congratulated the students for their decision to enter into a noble profession which had a wide respect across all human societies.

Dr. Anoop Bose, Sr. Advocate, Supreme Court of India said, “young students of today will one day (not in the distant future) would join the world’s second oldest profession”. He focused on “dos and the don’ts for the young legal professionals”, Dr. Bose also quoted various renowned personalities in the field that left the audience spellbound and edified.
