New Delhi, May 29, 2023 – Sandeep Marwah, a distinguished media personality and the Cultural representative of over 20 African countries in India, was invited as a special guest at the grand Africa Day celebrations held at the Taj Palace in New Delhi on May 25th. The event brought together Ambassadors and High Commissioners from all African nations, along with esteemed guest Ambassadors from various countries, to commemorate the rich history, diverse cultures, and remarkable progress of the African continent.

The chief guest for the occasion was Meenakshi Lekhi, the State Minister for External Affairs and Culture of the Government of India. In her address to the international audience, Minister Lekhi highlighted the significance of India-Africa relations and the shared cultural ties between the two regions.

Sandeep Marwah, while interacting with the press, expressed his role as the Cultural representative for more than 15 African countries, including Nigeria, Sudan, Senegal, Lesotho, Gambia, Gabon, Comoros, Ghana, South Africa, Rwanda, Morocco, Egypt, Tunisia, Ethiopia, and Kenya. He emphasized the fruitful collaborations in promoting the arts and culture of these nations through various cultural forums of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry.

Furthermore, Marwah announced an initiative to foster closer ties by offering 54 scholarships for short-term courses at the Asian Academy of Film and Television, representing each of the 54 African countries. This effort aims to facilitate cultural exchange and mutual learning between India and Africa.

Marwah also highlighted that all African countries actively participate in India’s Global Film Festivals, Global Fashion Week, Global Literary Festival, and Global Festival of Journalism, further strengthening the cultural bonds between the nations.

Sandeep Marwah’s presence at the Africa Day celebrations underscored his commitment to promoting cultural diplomacy and nurturing strong ties between India and Africa through the platform of art and entertainment.

New Delhi: “Dear leaders and dignitaries from across Asia, I am honored to address you on this special day of Asian Unity Day which falls on 2nd April every year, which marks the 32nd anniversary of the historic meeting between leaders of Asian countries. This meeting laid the foundation for a united Asia, and today we celebrate  the progress we have made towards this goal,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah of Republic of India, nine times World Record Holder in education & media and Entertainment Industry.

As the President of the Asian Unity Alliance, I am proud to say that we have brought together 48 countries of the continent of Asia to commemorate this occasion. Our celebrations today reflect the diversity of Asian culture and traditions, which are a source of strength for us.

The theme for this year’s celebration is “Stronger Together,” which emphasizes the importance of unity and cooperation among Asian nations. We live in a world that is increasingly interconnected, and we face many common challenges, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change, and regional conflicts. These challenges cannot be overcome by any one country alone, and we must work together to find solutions.

New Delhi: Sandeep Marwah, the founder of Marwah Studios, spoke about the 30-year-old organization, the Asian Unity Alliance (AUA), at members meet. The AUA is a setup that seeks to bring Asian countries together through art, culture, education, and tourism. Marwah projected the importance of promoting cultural exchange and understanding between Asian countries and how the AUA plays a significant role in achieving that goal.

The AUA has been conducting various initiatives and events over the past three decades to promote cultural exchange between Asian countries. These initiatives include cultural exchange programs, educational initiatives, and tourism promotions under the banner of   AAFT-Asian Academy of Film and Television, ASMS-Asian School of Media Studies, ANA-Asian News Agency, AAA-Asian Academy of Arts, AAA-Asian Alumni Association, AAA-Asian Advertising Agency, ABS-Asian Business School, ASB-Asian School of Business, ALC-Asian Law College, and AEM-Asian Event Management. The organization aims to build a network of individuals and organizations that are committed to promoting unity and cooperation between Asian nations.

Marwah praised the AUA for its efforts in promoting cultural understanding and collaboration between Asian countries. He also highlighted the importance of investing in cultural exchange programs and promoting cross-cultural interactions as a means of building bridges between nations.

Noida: H.E. Choe Hui Choi Ambassador of Democratic People’s Republic of Korea to India has been presented with Patronship of newly formed Indo DPR Korea Film and Cultural Forum on the very first day of 11th Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2023 in a grand function at Marwah Studios Film City Noida.

“We are more than happy to have H.E. Choe Hui Choi Ambassador of Democratic People’s Republic of Korea to India as our patron to Indo DPR Korea Film and Cultural Forum. He is the best person to guide us and lead us in developing and promoting relations between India and Korea. We can grow much faster under his leadership,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry.

Film  Detonation from Belarus Won the Hearts at 15th Global Film Festival

Noida: On the second day of 15th Global Film Festival, commenced at Marwah Studios, an award winning film “Detonation” from Belarus was screened, later which was given the ‘Award of Distinction’ by Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chancellor AAFT University & President of the festival.

The cast for the movie includes Andrey Senkin and Dariya Karpechenkova. The movie revolved around The Second World War. On the territory of liberated Belarus, a large amount of work on mine clearance of the territories from the remnants of war: unexploded mines and shells left in the ground is carried out. In order to clear the territories, volunteers squads from the members of OSOAVIAKHIM are formed narrated by Ms. Anastasiya Vorakh Counsellor at Embassy of Belarus, who also inaugurated the film event.

 A book titled  “Growth and Mindset” written by  Samaresh Shah of Niti Aayog, was also released, which basically revolves around how to build wealth and one can lean the real meaning of inner growth. The other guests present on the occasion were Film Maker AAFTian Rajinder Saigal , Actor AAFTian Masoom Singh,  known for his role in Back to Dad, and Neha Singh the founder of Freizeit Media OTT Channel.

The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Akriti SIngh. The event was supported by Indo Belarus Film and Cultural Forum, International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry, International Film and Television Club, Asian Unity Alliance and World Peace Development and Research Foundation. Film was appreciated by one and all.

La Carga Film from  Mexico Well Appreciated at 15th Global Film Festival

Mexican Film Appreciated by People at 15th Global Film Festival

Noida: A film La Carga has been recommended by many film makers from Mexico. The screening committee too found the film very impressive. The film was also selected for ‘Award of Distinction’ in this 15th Global Film Festival Noida 2022. The award was handed over to the Embassy.

Late sixteenth century. A Tameme Indian man and a noble Spanish woman flee through the forests of the New World in search of freedom. Their frantic journey softens the tension between them and dissolves their longstanding differences and creates intimate bonds that threaten their very survival, the theme of the film also liked by the audience.

The film is Directed by Alan Jonson, Screenwriters are Alan Jonsson & Arturo Ruiz, Music by Leoncio Lara, Cinematography by Emiliano Chaparro. The cast includes Maria Valverde, Horacio Rojas, Eric Frances, Gerardo Taracena, Eusebio Lazaro, Fernando Moran, Jose Antonio Baron, Harorold Torres, Tenoch Huerta, Norma Reyna, Xochiquetzal Rodriguez and Juan Carlos Colombo.

Indo Mexico Film and Cultural Forum supported the film. International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry, International Film and Television Club, Asian Unity Alliance, AAFT University were the main organizers.

Mushaira on Love Peace and Unity Through Literature

Mushaira by Renowned Poets from All Over India at Marwah Studios

Noida: To spread the word of Love Peace and Unity -the theme of the festival, a Mushaira was performed during the  8th Global Literary Festival Noida by renowned poets  at Marwah Studios which was well attended by the delegates from all over India.

The session started with the release of  book titled “Tera Aksh” written by Rahul Rai Gupta which is a compilation of his incomplete thoughts about love and pain. Lakshmi Shankar Bajpai, the former Director General of All India Radio spoke about  his contribution in “Tera Aksh” and shared his experiences in the field of radio.

During the event, Sapna Ahsaas through her poetry talked about being positive and added “helping others can bring people closer and  can build stronger relationships”. Mala Kapoor  said, ”blessings of teachers & elders is the energy to move towards your destination,”  She expressed her emotions about life and instances through ghazals and shayari.

Akhtar Azmi captured nostalgic instances through his poetry. His shayari put light on

the importance of memories that one needs to cherish.  Urvashi Agarwal Urvi presented the shayari and talked about the fact that despite diversified cultures and traditions, our country stands one and is united for over decades. Surender Shazar, Moin Shadaab, ,Vigyan Vrat, Renu Hussain, Nanparvi, Shahid Anjum, participated in the event and presented beautiful shayari mesmerizing the audience.

The vote of thanks was proposed by the Festival Director Sushil Bharti. The moderators of the event were  Urvashi Agarwal ’Urvi’ and Mala Kapoor. Dr. Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios gave his closing remarks and also recite poetry related to the theme. Later Marwah presented festival memento to all the poets.

International Journalism Centre Honoured Journalists

9th Kamal Ke Sipahi Awards at Marwah Studios Film City Noida

Noida: International Journalism Centre in association with Newspapers Association of India designed a very powerful 9th annual award for the outstanding journalist under the banner “Kalam Ke Sipahi”. Nearly thirty journalists were selected for this award from all over India who all personally came to Noida Film City to collect it.

“Journalism will kill you, but it will keep you alive while you’re at it. A good newspaper, if I am not wrong, is a nation talking to itself. Journalism can never be silent: That is its greatest virtue and its greatest fault. Today we have heroes of journalism whom we are honouring for their sincere contribution towards good journalism,” said Dr Sandeep Marwah President of International Journalism Centre in a grand function at Marwah Studios.

“An ideal journalist should be observant and possess strong analytical skills to assess a situation if there is something more to it. Whether it is about confirming the credibility of sources or assessing an incident, a journalist should know how to weight a situation critically,” said Tirath Singh Rawat former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand and MP Lok Sabha in the capacity of Chief Guest congratulating all the awardees from different parts of the country and abroad.

“Every day is a good day. There is something to learn, care and celebrate.” “Any day above ground is a good day. Before you complain about anything, be thankful for your life and the things that are still going well,” suggested Sadguru Riteshwar Ji Maharaj and asked to learn as how to control your emotions.

“Though it may be interesting or even entertaining, the foremost value of news is as a utility to empower the informed. The purpose of journalism is thus to provide citizens with the information they need to make the best possible decisions about their lives, their communities, their societies, and their governments,” added Ashish Saraf Honorary Consul of The Commonwealth of Bahamas.

Vipin Gaur Secretary General Newspapers Association of India, Dr. Gururaj Nagathan President NAI, Dr Deepak Narwal from London United Kingdom, Brandy Veil from Los Angles United States of America, Dr Serge Dvorianov from Moscow Russia were also present on the stage. The event saw the release of newspaper-The Beacon and AAFT Youtube Chanel by the students of AAFT School of Journalism & Mass Communication.

Seminar on The New Trends in Fiction Writing at 8th Global Literary Festival Noida

Seminar During 8th Global Literary Festival Noida 2022

Noida: “We have emerged as the second biggest Literary Festival in the country. Large number of events during the festival have attracted writers from all over India and abroad. Every session is a brain storming session, full of knowledge, information and entertainment,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of the festival introducing the speakers of first seminar of the first day of 8th Global Literary Festival Noida 2022 at Marwah Film City Noida.

The session began with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony by the dignities followed by   the launching of a book “SACH”, written by Dhruvan Ladha, a final year student of Journalism and Mass Communication at AAFT.

Renowned author Dr. Rama Singh, enlightened the students with the new trends in fiction writing. She shared how quality literature awakes the slumbering soul and how stories have always been a part of mankind. She laid stress on the word “Kahani” which is derived from the word “Kehna” and that is what fiction writing is all about. She also said a story is made up of three parts “Anubhav, Anubhuti and Abhivyakti”.

On this occasion, Chancellor of AAFT University and Festival President, Dr. Sandeep Marwah shared a few mantras for the budding writers asking them to work hard and create any piece of writing with in-depth research and passion to be successful in this field. He encouraged the students to read good writers and prioritise the audience for whom they want to write.

Ravindra Kant Tyagi, a renowned author, acknowledged the audience with the contrast between the current and the literature of the earlier times through satire where he talked about writers like Vishnu Prabhakar and Chetan Bhagat. Author Avinash Phushkarana enlightened the audience with the expression of art. He also said that a beautiful presentation of an emotion knits a story and with a responsible pen, it can create wonders.

During the session, the festival director Mr Sushil Bharti briefed the audience about the fest and how it sculpts several writers every year. He also talked about the vision to bring together diverse writers, poets and artists on a single platform to inspire budding writers through this festival.

The seminar was anchored by Assistant Professor  Syed Ziwaquar Ashar and supported by International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry, Writers Association of India, Asian Unity Alliance and World Peace Development and Research Foundation.

Asian Unity Alliance Join Hands with 8th Global Literary Festival Noida 2022

New Delhi: The management committee of Asian Unity Alliance is feeling honored to be associated with 8th Global Literary Festival Noida 2022, the biggest literary festival of this side of the World, to promote Love Peace and Unity Through Art and Culture.

Asian Unity Alliance was created thirty years back with the support of Asian Academy of Film and Television, the first private film school of India, its head quarters at Noida Film City to unite the Asian countries through art and culture. All the Asian countries have been requested to be part of this alliance to bring oneness and a feeling of one family.

Thousands of social, political, cultural events have been designed, executed, and been associated with, have become the source of propaganda of the theme of the alliance.
