Street Play by AAFT Cinema Students was a Big Hit During Global Festival

Noida: The AAFT School of Cinema organized a street play on social issues during all the three days of 11th Global Festival of Journalism at Marwah Studios, that received appreciation from all who witnessed it. The play was a collaborative effort by the students, who wrote, directed, and performed the play themselves.

The play addressed a range of social issues, such as gender inequality, domestic violence, and environmental degradation, using humor, and drama to drive home important messages. It was an engaging and thought-provoking performance that left a lasting impact on the audience.

“The street play also highlighted the power of art and performance in bringing about social change. Through their play, the students were able to raise awareness about important social issues and inspire the audience to take action,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of AAFT.

The event was a great success, with the students receiving praise for their excellent performance and impactful message. It was a testament to the talent and dedication of the AAFT School of Cinema students, who used their creativity and passion for cinema to make a difference in society.

Noida: The AAFT School of Interior Design hosted a stunning furniture exhibition during the 11th Global Festival of Journalism. The exhibition was a showcase of the talents and creativity of the school’s interior design students, who presented their innovative and unique furniture designs.

The exhibition was a visual treat for visitors, featuring a range of contemporary and traditional furniture designs made from sustainable and eco-friendly materials. The exhibition provided an opportunity for the students to showcase their skills and knowledge, as well as to gain feedback and insights from industry professionals and visitors,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios.

The event also highlighted the growing importance of sustainable design in the furniture industry, and the need to incorporate sustainable practices into design education. “The students’ designs demonstrated the potential for creating beautiful, functional furniture that is also environmentally responsible,” expressed

Biography on Sandeep Marwah Released During 11th Global Festival of Journalism

Noida: Sandeep Marwah is a renowned Indian film producer, director, and media personality. He is the founder of the Noida Film City, the fastest growing film and television production center, and the Marwah Studios, a leading creative house in India.

Marwah began his career as a theatre artist and went on to produce  over ,3500 short films. He has been associated with several feature films and television programs. He is the recipient of numerous national and international awards for his contribution to the film industry.

Apart from his work in the entertainment industry, Marwah is also actively involved in social causes and has been appointed as the Global Cultural Ambassador by many different nations. He has also been recognized for his contribution to the field of education and was conferred with the honorary doctorate by several universities.

Marwah’s life and achievements have been documented in various biographical works, including the recently released biography titled “Sandeep Marwah: Ek Prerna,” which provides an in-depth insight into his journey in the film industry and his contribution to society written by Mamta Soni.

DPR Korea Documentary Presented with Award of Distinction

DPR Korean Film Presented with Award of Distinction at GFJN

Noida: The emotional documentary “Children’s Dream and Mother’s Happiness” presented by the Korean director begged Award of Distinction during the 11th Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2023 in a grand function when film was also screened for the large audience in the presence of H.E. Choe Hui Choi Ambassador of Democratic Republic of Korea to India at Marwah Studios.

“A documentary film is a great way of helping people understand because, somehow, when one is able to see the people involved, it lends a certain immediacy and understanding that is hard to get on the page. We are thankful to the authorities for providing slot for our documentary ‘Children’s Dream and Mother’s Happiness’ in a prestigious festival and also for the award of Distinction which has been bestowed upon this film,” said H.E. Choe Hui Choi Ambassador of DPR Korea to India.

“Doing a documentary is about discovering being open learning and following curiosity. Documentaries have always inspired me in narrative film making,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of President of International Journalism Centre.

Noida: Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics together has been given a new segment in Media & Entertainment Industry as AVGC Sector. Government of India has also created a AVGC promotion Task force. It is necessary to bring this information to the table,” said Dr, Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios initiating the seminar on AVGC on the first ay of 11th Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2023 and inviting H E Choe Hui Chol Ambassador of DPR Korea to India to inaugurate the session.

“The Global AVGC industry amounts to 800 billion US Dollars, and the Indian AVGC sector is brimming with the potential to bag upto 5 percent of the global share that is 40 billion US Dollars, given that it has an annual growth rate of over 25 to 30 percent,” said Abed Elrazeg Jazer Media advisor Embassy of Palestine.

“Not only does the sector contributes significantly to the economy but it also creates an abundance of employment opportunities for several skilled sectors, with over 160,000 jobs that it could provide yearly, informed P.K.Bajaj founder Mayapuri Magazine sharing his vast experience in Animation.

The CoE will also have a finishing school that will train & provide highly skilled technicians to the companies in Karnataka, thus facilitating employment opportunities condensed Prof. Dr Suresh Chandra Nayak renowned academician.

Documentary from Venezuela Screened at 11th Global Festival of Journalism

Noida: A documentary film is a non-fictional motion-picture intended to “document reality, primarily for the purposes of instruction, education or maintaining a historical record. Poetic Documentaries. Expository Documentaries, Observational Documentaries, Participatory Documentaries, Reflexive Documentaries, and  Performative Documentaries are the different types we have been promoting in Global Festival of Journalism in these last eleven years,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios at the opening of Venezuela Film on the first day of GFJN at Noida Film City.

Life In A Dance- a full length documentary from Venezuela was the first film opened by Alfredo Caldera Charge D’ Affaires of Embassy of Venezuela in India. It is about the life and  artistic career of the flamenco dancer from La Linea de la Concepcion, David Morales Ramirez. This film is in itself an example how a documentary transforms the life, not only  of its protagonist, but also of its creators directed by Blanca Rey.

Later Dr. Sandeep Marwah presented an Award of Distinction to Alfredo Carla for the documentary being as one of the best nine documentaries of the festival. A memento of the festival was also handed over to the guest. The students of AAFT School of Journalism and Mass Communication and many film lovers from all over India enjoyed the screening of the film.

The event was supported by AUA-Asian Unity Alliance, IFTRC-International Film and Television Research Centre, AAFT University, IPBF-International Public Broadcasting Forum, and WPDRF- World Peace Development and Research Foundation. The film has been included as a part of  11th International Documentary Film Festival promoted by International Journalism Centre.

Shaheed Bhagat Singh Remembered at 11th Global Festival of Journalism

Noida: We are feeling proud to launch the poster of Shaheed Bhagat Singh who was a committed, multi-lingual journalist. He frequently produced politically charged and socially-rooted writings on several pressing contemporary issues. He mostly wrote in three languages: Punjabi, Urdu, and Hindi and, occasionally, in English,” informed Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of 11th Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2023 while  addressing the large audience at Marwah Studios.

Bhagat Singh was a trained journalist who started young. He began his journalistic journey working as an apprentice with well-known media organisations of his time, like Pratap and Vir Arjun. Significantly, he honed his journalistic craft under the editorship of Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi, a pioneer of radical journalism in India and a solid Gandhian political activist. 

In his short, creative and meaningful journalistic career – which coincided with and ran parallel to his revolutionary political life – Singh, in varying capacities, was associated with more than a dozen prestigious newspapers and magazines that were published from different parts of the country. These included Kirti, Pratap, Maharathi, Vir Arjun, Matwala, Prabha, Akali, Chand, Bande Mataram, among others.

AAFT Launched Radio Mumbai on International Day of Journalism

Radio Mumbai Launched on 12th February International Day of Journalism

Mumbai: It was exact a year back when we launched Radio Raipur on the World Radio Day during the 9th Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2021. The success of Radio Noida and then Radio Raipur induced us to start third Radio Station after the name Radio Mumbai- The city of Dreams. I extend my heartiest thanks to our listeners and the complete team of Radio Mumbai for their untiring efforts to present radio on its due date,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chancellor of AAFT University of Media and Arts pressing the the start button of www.radiomumbai.fm  to inaugurate the station on 12th February, the International Day of Journalism.

9th Global Festival Discussed Prospects of Print and TV Journalism

Yes the literacy is increasing in India which is a good sign. On the other hand, many newspapers had to see the dark side of the moon and closed down. “Global festival of Journalism is a wonderful platform for all of us belonging to diplomatic corps. “Social media has taken over the traditional media be it a print or television. These newspapers and channels have to look for high quality of information and programming to reestablish their creditability and viewership and readership. The exclusive coverage is required,” said H.E. Marjan Cencen Ambassador of Slovenia to India.

ASMS Calendar Released at 3rd Global Festival of Journalism

Noida Film City: Still Photography is a very important part of Asian School of Media Studies. The department of still photography prepared a calendar for 2015, which saw light of the day on the 2nd day of 3rd Global Festival of Journalism.

“The department of photography has attained ample importance when the calendar prepared by students of their pictures is being released today by Ambassador of Slovenia” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studio.

“Photographs are the everlasting memories” added H.E. Mrs Darja Bavdas Kuret Ambassador of Slovenia while releasing the Calendar. “One picture is equal to thousand words” Journalist & Politician Shazia Ilmi also spoke on the occasion.

Padam Sri Shyam Singh Shashi, Master of Community Radio Dr. Sreedher, Senior journalist Qamar Agha, Arfa Khanam Sherwani and Deputy Commissioner- Commercial Tax Pankaj Kumar Singh were also present there.
