AAFT Showcases International Flair at 8th Global Fashion Week Noida 2024

Noida, India – The 8th Global Fashion and Design Week Noida 2024, organized by AAFT, delivered an eclectic and truly international fashion experience during its second session. With numerous countries participating on the ramp, the event underscored the universal appeal of fashion.

Sandeep Marwah, President of the 8th Global Fashion and Design Week Noida 2024, expressed his enthusiasm for the event, emphasizing the global unity and diversity represented through fashion.

The event was graced by distinguished guests of honor, including: H.E. Yasiel Alines Burillo Rivera, Ambassador, Embassy of Panama, Aji Fatoumatta Joof, First Secretary, High Commission of The Gambia, Saundarya Mehtani, Design Director, Ttrova Design, Sahiba Gurnani Wirk, Founder, Midori by SGV, Anit Nagpal, Director, Bang on Target PR and Media Solutions

Designers from AAFT displayed an impressive array of collections inspired by various cultures around the world: Devraj ,Bhawna and Rishita took Iraq as their subject, Fizza was showcasing garments inspired by the culture of Azerbaijan, Chestha went close to the country of Fiji,  Priyanka Chaudhary studied Cambodia for her presentation of garment range, Priya Pandey showcased garments impressed by Panama, Himanshu Patwa highlighted Myanmar through his range and  Armenian garments range was designed by Aastha, Shristi & Laiba, Anupam Priya.

A special highlight of the event was the launch of a Coffee Table Book titled “Zardozi,” designed by Anika Rai Sadh, a student of Fashion Communication at AAFT.

The 8th Global Fashion and Design Week Noida 2024 continues to set a high standard for international fashion, celebrating cultural diversity and creativity. This event not only showcased the talents of emerging designers but also fostered a deeper appreciation for the global fashion community.

The event was supported by Indo Armenia Film and Cultural Forum, Indo Azerbaijan, Indo Cambodia, Indo Fiji, Indo Iraq, Indo Myanmar and Indo Panama Film and Cultural Forum of International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry along with World Peace Development and Research Foundation.

Third Show First Day Inaugurated by Panama Ambassador at Marwah Studios

The 7th Global Fashion Week at Marwah Studios in Noida kicked off with a spectacular range of garments designed by young and talented designers of AAFT School of Fashion and Design. In the third session of the event’s first day, the audience witnessed a fantastic display of creativity and design inspired by the cultural diversity of countries such as Cambodia, Bulgaria, Guyana, Armenia, Panama, Brazil, Cuba, Afghanistan, and Cyprus.

Amol Singh, Sunita Kushwaha, Komal Kumari, Pavannish Singh, Kashish Arora, VarshaGupta, Ayush Gupta, Aleena Israil, Gagandeep, Gudia Kashyap, HimaniNegi, and Priti Chandan were the designers from AAFT School of Fashion and Design who showcased their exceptional skills and expertise in front of the international audience.

The event was graced by the presence of H.E. Yasiel A. Burillo R Ambassador of Panama, who was the chief guest of the occasion. Tina, CEO True Fashion, Designer Anushka, and Designer Rahul were also present as guests of honor. Anabella Chavez Presstan, the third secretary of the Embassy of Panama, along with Anuj Lalwani, Shilpi Bahadur, Mania Kaur, Pankaj Choudhary, Means Malhotra, Ranju Rai, Ayati, and many others appreciated the show and applauded the designers’ efforts.

Sandeep Marwah, the founder of Marwah Studios, emphasized the significance of fashion as a means of artistic expression and a reflection of cultural trends. He praised the young designers of AAFT School of Fashion and Design for their creativity and the beautiful range of garments they presented. Marwah highlighted the importance of fashion shows as a platform for showcasing the talent of emerging designers and for promoting cultural exchange.

The first day of the event was a massive success, and the audience is looking forward to more such innovative and creative presentations in the coming days. The show was conducted by Ritu Lal Director AAFT School of Fashion & Design, Dr Akriti Singh anchored the show and Dr. Manoj Agarwal Executive Director supervised the arrangements.

ICMEI Celebrated National Day of Cambodia

Noida: “I on behalf of ICMEI, Media and Entertainment Industry and complete Art and Culture fraternity of India extend my heartiest congratulations to H.E. Ung Sean

Ambassador of Cambodia to India and people of Cambodia on the occasion of National Day (Independence Day) of Cambodia which falls on 9th November,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah Founder of Noida Film City and President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry.

Not very long ago Sandeep Marwah was nominated as the Chair for Indo Cambodia Film And Cultural Forum by H.E. Ung Sean to develop and promote relation between two countries.  ICFCF was part of 6th Global Literary Festival Noida and now also joined  as partners in progress with 13th Global Film Festival Noida to be held on 26th to 28th November.

Earlier, a delegation  was planned to Cambodia from India comprising of representatives from films, media and education industry which had to be cancelled because of Pandemic. “We are looking for the right opportunity to take the delegation to Cambodia as early as possible,” said Marwah.

New Delhi: The President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry Dr. Sandeep Marwah presented Patron ship of Indo Cambodia Film And Cultural Forum of ICMEI to H.E. Ung Sean Ambassador of Cambodia to India a the Royal Embassy of Cambodia in New Delhi.

“We have a powerful committee on Indo Cambodia relations and it is our privileged that H.E. Ung Sean has very kindly accepted to be the patron of the same. We are sure that we will be able to work much better and faster under his leadership,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah presenting the memento to the Ambassador.

“I am pleased to receive the delegation from ICMEI and it is my honor to be associated with Indo Cambodia Film And Cultural Forum. We will take our relations to higher platform through this forum. I am thankful to Dr. Marwah for the patron ship presented to me,” expressed H.E. Ung Sean Ambassador of Cambodia to India.

The Secretary General of ICMEI Ashok Tyagi, Coordinator of Indo Cambodia Chapter Vijay Laxmi Mishra and diplomats from the embassy were witness to the historical moment. Soon Cambodia embassy will sign MOU with the chamber.

Sandeep Marwah Nominated As Chair For Cambodian Cultural Forum

 Sandeep Marwah Nominated For Indo Cambodia Cultural Forum

Noida: “We are pleased to nominate Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios as the Chair of this newly constituted Indo Cambodia Film And Cultural Forum today, the most appropriate name for this designation,” said Dato Sri Dr. Sirajudeen a well known social worker and advisor to the Prime Minister of Cambodia during his visit to Noida Film City.

Sandeep Marwah is seven times World Record Holder and has been associated with many first in India. He is the founder of first Film city in North India, first professional film studios in North India, first Private Film School in India, first private film research centre in India, first Film Club in India, first Radio Station of Noida and now first film University of the country.

He is the first person from Media and entertainment industry to reach to the level of Chancellor of the University in 73 years. He is also the first media person of the country to be raised to the level of Chief Scout For India.

“I am thankful to the people of Cambodia for showing so much confidence   in me. I will work day and night to develop and promote the relation between the         two countries,” said Sandeep Marwah feeling obliged by the gesture.

Noida: A well known social worker and advisor to the Prime Minister of Cambodia Dato Sri Dr. Sirajudeen has been presented with Patronship of Indo Cambodia Film And Cultural Forum by Dr. Sandeep Marwah a media baron of India.

Dato Sri Dr. Sirajudeen was accompanied with Dr. S.S.R. Ramdass a former Member of Parliament     from Chennai who was also presented with Patronship of the forum. Vijay Laxmi Mishra has been honored with Life Membership of Indo Cambodia Film And Cultural Forum.

“It was a just a thought to have an organization like this, Dr. Marwah converted dream into reality in no time. To be patron of this kind of an organization is a dream come true,” motivated Dr. Sirajudeen.

“We need enthusiastic and dynamic persons like Dr. Marwah. The whole style of Indian working will change for better India,” added Dr. S.S.R. Ramdass.

Dato Sri Sirajudeen invited Dr. Sandeep Marwah to Cambodia to be the guest of Government of Cambodia.

Indo Cambodia Film And Cultural Forum Formed at ICMEI

Noida: A powerful delegation from Cambodia proposed ICMEI to frame and launched a new setup under the name and banner of Indo Cambodia Film And Cultural Forum to enhance the relation between two countries on their visit to India last week.

“We are keen in building up a very strong relation and tie-ups with India through art and culture. An organization specializing in creative arts can understand and perform better. International Chamber of Media And Entertainment   Industry is the best choice for us,” said Dato Sri Dr. Sirajudeen Advisor to the Prime Minister of Cambodia Hun Sen releasing the poster of Indo Cambodia Film And Cultural Forum.

“We welcome the team from Hun Sen Office. H.E. Hun Sen is a Cambodian politician who has served as the Prime Minister of Cambodia since 1985. He is currently the world’s longest-serving prime minister, the longest-serving head of government of Cambodia, and one of the longest-serving leaders in the world,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah

“The efficiency of ICMEI, the infrastructure, the presentation of the program so timely and appropriate that it can put to any management guru to surprise. I am proud to be present here at this historical moment when first ever           organization of this kind is being launched,” said Dr. S. S. R. Ramdas former Member of Parliament Lok Sabha present on the occasion.

“It is dream come true. What we thought a day back has been converted into reality. I am convinced that ICMEI is the body to depend upon,” added Vijay Laxmi Mishra an educationist and consultant.
